- A In depth tutorial on how to install the Eldergleam modpack for Skyrim Special Edition.
Sorry if this video is a little weird in some places, this is my first tutorial if you found it helpful a like and sub would be appreciated.

Here’s some advice if you’re getting log errors check your folders and make sure and I will say it again for some make sure you have the anniversary dlc pack if you do not have it then you will get an error this guys video is legit and probably one of the most truth telling without skipping steps I ever watched. Some of yaw are like I have an error upgrade your game and download dlc and see if that solves if that does not work then try to run the install again make sure all of the folders are correct and it should work. I ran into all of the errors and issues but upgrading mine worked after i downloaded dlc
Thank you for this, I was considering making a second video because so many people are getting errors which I didn't encounter but do know how to fix and responding to them all repeating myself is a tad redundant but this comment will serve people well. @@McVerdictno problem! I realized that you gave all of the correct solutions it was me that was the error and not following all of the steps YOU were instructing! Your method works for downloading all modlist. I download lorerim,Nordic souls if I’m not wrong etc.

@@McVerdictno problem, you cannot please everybody, if they aren’t getting with the progress then they need to learn computer skills a little better you can only do so much and its hard answering errors when your not right in front of it. now it wouldn’t be a bad idea to make another vid and dumb it down for computer dummies lol but this vid is solid

Little tip, make a folder for your mod lists and make a download folder for all of your downloads, helps with clutter
When i opended it a lot of Textures were missing like body parts , plants mountains and loading screens beards hair and other stuff.
Can i fix that by just by closing and reopening the mod or is there an other way
having the exact same problem
@@ewanthespoon i fixed it by not pressing the "unlock" button when the mod is loading thats it.
Then the modpack should run like intended

im getting a black screen when trying to launch the game
For anyone asking which is better lorerim or eldergleam. I will answer that simply for people that want a straight answer. If you wanna mod and a game to build and want the game to load up fast with good graphics with less crashes eldergleam is what you want, if you want a big game that’s basically redone that’s already built lore rim is the game but I will say 86% of the mods you download and put in yourself will be glitchy from how many mods their are or the mod won’t work in general, it crashes like crazy and I have a 4090, a lot of yaw know it boots up slow and it does sometimes so slow that it crashes the whole game and you can’t add to it. now you can take some of the files and add it to elder gleam if you know what you’re doing. if you wanna play through using little to no added mods lorerim if you wanna add mods and more stuff elder gleam. Lorerim has a little bit better graphics but they are about the same but lorerim has the most issues. I picked elder gleam due to the fact that all my added mods work I can add in animation of my own and I can build on it and it never crashes it’s always running smooth it may run higher on gpu temp then lorerim which is crazy because it’s almost twice the size but it’s definitely more worth it
My Eldergleam crashes from time to time and save function is buggy, once crashed to desktop and had to do the same level all over again...any thoughts?

Ty this was exactly what i was looking for. I like to mod my skyrim to have a lot of new toens and settlements and i rately see lists with that flavor. I need all the towns and settlements by schilitzohr
Everything worked good for me other then when I loaded in all my textures were just completely broken
so i have done exactly as per this video and my main menu is not correct in terms of resolution and its even not working when clicked on quit or new. how to fix this?
can someone help me i was installing this modpack though this guide using wabbajack then after like 2 hours it gave me an error saying "cannot find skyrim" and stopped the installation

EDIT : wow, in "old files" part. What a shame, should be in the main list ! The free CC edition requires SkyrimSE 1.5.97

okay so its working for me now i just need to switch back to native resolution on my screen and drop back too 100 percent meaning not zoomed in to make icons bigger ..my icons are tiny on my destop now but it works.. thanks Zennpachi for your help..i guess it wasnt freezing it was just super zoomed in

it just stoped downloading at the Mod Organizer iv waited for 6 hrs and it stayed on the same place like before idk how to fix it but i reinstalled it everything nothing works
It works well but it is sooooo dark, at night or in interiors you cannot see anything event with brightness at max. What is wrong and how can this be fixed?

Hi there should be a section where it shows you the mods it's downloading can you tell me which mod it's having trouble downloading? If you can I can tell you how to fix this issue, in my past experiences it's usually high poly head

To change the language of the subtitles and audio in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PC, go to your Steam Library and right click on the game. From there, select Properties and then the Language tab. You can then choose one of the available languages from the drop-down options.

Everything is installed for me, but when I launch it, all of the hair models that I choose are balding/incomplete haristyles. Any idea how I could go about fixing this issue?
Did you make sure to change the head model to highpoly head in the character creator like I show near the end of the video?

Never mind! The problem was i selected "unlock" after clicking run. If you click RUN and ignore the pop up message the game will start regardless
Hi! Thnx for such an in debth tutorial. I have one issue though: my installation seems to be stuck at downloading files (1225 files downloaded and no further progress). The mods preview pictures still rolling but there seems to be no progress in installation. Any advice on what can be done? Should I try closing wabbajack to start over? Or I will lose progress this way?
Hi could be a big mod that needs a while to install but if that isn't the case restarting wabbajack will resume from where you left off.

Hi, I installed Eldergleam with Wabbajack but when I start the game I see everything black then the menu appears and if I click on start the initial scene is completely dark. If I go to Racemenu the head of the khajiit is missing, only the eyes are visible and even the northern hair is transparent. After the installation I reloaded the language to Italian, will that be the problem? How do I set the mod in Italian and have the game in Italian?
Hello, i have a problem, the AE version of skyrim does not download the content
Once I start the game, a window appears to download the content, but when you press it it only lasts a few seconds and does not download anything.

Hi I have heard of this issue but only one time so not sure if it applies to you, but if you are on ethernet or wired Internet switch to WiFi reboot your PC and launch skyrim after enabling AE dlc on steam if that doesn't fix it ill see if I can find anything else on the subject
I found something else that might fix it, Try deleting Skyrim ini files in Documents>My Games>SSE. It should prompt the AE content download whenever you relaunch the game.

I did everything like you, but every time I click "Run" on Mod Organizer, it shows an error message saying it cannot start because of the antivirus. However, I disabled my Windows Defender and made an exception for all the mod files, and it still shows the error. I don't know what to do :( and the Discord server is ignoring me ;-;
(I got there are files in yout overwrite directory and script extender log reports incompatible plugins which failed to load pls help someone

My game is laggu and i want to remove the fabled forest mod as the trees are causing it im pretty sure but it comes up with a masters missing problem and im not sure how i am able yo get rid of it eithout causing issues

Hi, just a question. I used to play nolvus but disliked the overall like change in combat, and so many mods that just completely changed the game. So I uninstalled because Im looking for a modlist for just graphics and nice animations. Is it possible to run this modlist with only 6GB vram? I have laptop 130W variant. I could run nolvus okay ish with 40 capped fps, vram spilling into ram but it was stable because of my 32gb ram. Think I could run this modlist?
Hi I think you will be fine running this, but to be sure checking the requirements on the nexus page may help more. Also if you have ram issues w ur 32gb it may be worth creating a page file

Alright so i have everything installed ready to go when i hit run in the mod organizer it tells me the version of skyrim is newer im stuck

You will need to download the mod manually and place it in the downloads folder then pause and resume the install

@@Louis-wv5qn hi this is a common issue, and can be fixed by manually looking up which mod failed to download and downloading it yourself then moving it into the nolvus downloads folder and resuming install. Check pinned comment
@@McVerdict Thank you for the reply. I headed over to the discord server and it seems like the issue occurred during the steam install. I installed both SE and AE from steam but it never downloaded the Creations content. Someone in the discord server pointed me to these directions for anyone else that gets the same errors:
Your chosen mod list requires the purchasable Anniversary Edition content.
If you have already bought AE and your log says you are missing creation club content (Data_ccvsvsse003-necroarts.esl, Data_ccbgssse069-contest.esl, etc...) then you need to download the content from within the game.
-In Steam right-click on your Skyrim installation and select 'Properties...'
-Select 'Installed Files'.
-Select 'Verify integrity of game files'.
-Let Steam run through the verification process and install.
-Launch Skyrim from Steam.
-Select Creations from the main menu.
-Select 'Options' at the bottom.
-Select 'Download all owned Creation Club Creations'.
-Select to 'Update all content'.
-Exit the game.
-Rerun the Wabbajack installer.
DO NOT Alt+Tab; you must leave the game window active or the download will stop.
Can anyone explain why we need to install this on a 2nd ssd/hdd im not sure where to put what files..

I, too, had this problem. If it doesnt do it automatically all i did was create another folder with a different name and made sure each one was different and it seemed to work for me
the Attack_MCO-DXP mod isn't listed on nexus anymore so I have to download it manually from the website. But because of this issue, I'm unable to continue the installation process properly. Any solution to this issue? thanks
Hi I've had issues like this on other mod packs what I usually do is move the mod I downloaded into the downloads folder of the installation and then pause and resume installation on wabbajack and it continued to install for me

Hi there's a few things you should do differently, first of all instead of downloading the top link download the NO CV version of the mod that is linked in the description then follow the video as normal, no need to do the download stuff at the beginning unless you choose to buy AE content for the CC version of the mod pack

hmm honestly it could be so many things, anything else in the error? do you have the AE edition and did you launch the game before installing the mod pack to initialise the dlc?
I have a problem, I'm installing this manually and I'm almost done but I'm stuck at 141 out of 164 because "The Connect Was Reset" or "Can't reach this page" even though I don't have any problems with my wifi or my pc.
Could be a rate limit to the website I'm not too sure I've never done it manually

Just downloaded it all and booted up... half the textures and graphics look like they are missing... I removed the downloads folder as mentioned in the video to free up space but I'm scared that deleted all these texture mods...??
Deleting downloads will not affect the install so I'm not sure why you've got missing textures, I recommend messaging the eldergleam discord as they will be able to help you.
@@McVerdict Yeah.. I ended up getting it working actually! It was awesome. The mod is incredible, however, I booted up the game/mod again and half the textures are missing again (after doing nothing or not changing anything). Really sad about this... why can't things just work with PC :(

I have tried downloading the mod again and again with the same result and believe it could be something with the 'overwrite' file in Mod Organiser 2.. do you know how to fix issues with Mod Organiser 2 and the overwrite file? I have looked online but nothing specifically relating to Eldergleam and it is quite confusing. But I think the issue is there are overwrite files causing the issue of textures and mods missing

Check the log thing and see which mod it's stalling at, find and manually download that mod and place the .zip file in the mod installation download folder then pause and resume the download and it should work

If you can find which mod failed to install following the comment I put up above will work, someone else on here had the same issue and got it sorted.

Hey unfortunately this won't work on Xbox as many mods utilise SKSE which is a script extender not available on console.

i still have problems with my fps its just 16-20 fps and i dont know why
my ram is 32 with 3060 rtx
Try turning off Enb and running on ultra performance, also make sure its installed on an ssd as hard drive can impact performance. That's all I can think of, it runs super smoothly on my end

I think the game runs at 4k thats shy its runs in low framrates
Because when i go to skyrim the original game it set the resolution on 4k
But I can’t change it on the moded skyrim
Any idea? How to set it to 1080p
@@Gamer-xn9wc use SSEDisplayTweaks to tweak resolution it's already installed there's instructions on Google on how to do it, kinda hard to explain in just words here

Yeah so you'll need to find that mod and download it manually, make sure its the one for special edition not Le edition and then move that zip file into the download folder in the mod pack install folder, (the one you selected in wabbajack) then pause and resume wabajack install
@@McVerdict okay its not giving me an option to pause or resume it just says failed i downloaded it and dropped it in the folder and hit overrite installation hopefully that works

@@McVerdict it trys to start but then freezes on enb screen with music playing im go remove all and reinstall again
yea i dunno it installed fine that time. its saying there are files in my overwrite folder in mod organizer wont go past first laoding screen
