    Lexi is exactly the kind of player you want. She wears her desire to be with the Fever on her sleeve. She's can play, accepts she's not #1- 3 and if Satou comes she'll accept that too. And she will as hard as she can to be as valuable as possible. I think she likes winning more than stats.

    I think Stephanie white is going to elevate each fever player to a new level to the point that white is showing them each one that there is much more in them that's going to explode to show their strengths they might not be using to its fullest ....im going crazy ,cant wait to see what white has in store for us ... excited

      Everyone but Smith, she’s just to slow like Grinder. They both play a similar slow motion style. It really doesn’t fit with the fast pace fever style. Satou would definitely make us a better contender from day one

    So, I recognize that my viewpoint is skewed because I only ever keep my eye on Caitlin and Fever news. But, having said that, it seems like the Fever organization and their vision for next season is being well planned and laid out. Maybe it's just the difference between last season's lack of focus that nakes it seem like such a difference in outlook. And especially having a goal, and a plan to strike towards that goal. Go Fever!🏆🔥🔥🔥

      What you're seeing is the influence of Kelly Krauskopf. She was the GM who built the Fever championship team in 2012. That's why I was shaking my head when a bunch of Fever fans were losing their marbles over losing Temi, and proclaiming the front office didn't know what they were doing. I think this team is in excellent hands right now.

    About halfway through and posting while listening. It seems that the enthusiasm is contagious. Before I thought the focus was on adding dimension to CC as a player, but now it appears that this is more about building on skills and adding layers to all players. If this carries over to all players, this team could become something pretty amazing.

    Lexie is all of 6'2 per my observations, and she's light on her feet. If she can play 25 minutes per game, play active, fearless defense, and score 10-12 ppg, that would be huge.

    This is why we all said that Sides and her staff had no idea of to do what all of the talent in this team. So much potential was being wasted and underutilized last season. We should’ve won that 1st round playoff series, we were certainly good enough but our coaches had no clue so we were DOA as soon as the playoffs started. We really gotta give the Fever front office credit, they saw what we all saw to and decided not to waste another season with Kelsey,CC22,Boston and Lexi at the helm. The development of all of the players will be huge. Go Fever

    Yes, we gotta understand that this team has several players on still on rookie deals. So that means that there’s plenty of room for growth. Kelsey,Katie Lue,Dantus,Wheeler and Wallace are all free agents. Saxon,Smith, Lexie, Boston,Berger and CC22 are all still on rookie contracts and haven’t even hit their primes yet. They have a lot to improve on and White and her staff has a chance to groom them properly before they develop some bad habits that’ll stifle their careers.

  • @basilfawlty241
    @basilfawlty241 21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +10

    Lexie is skilled with her media answers. She may not be quite as polished as Clark, but she handles herself well.
    I do like to hear that there is going to be some movement on the offensive side. That is going to help everyone. I think Katie Lou is the one positioned to have the biggest improvement, if she's still here. But I kinda expect she will be.
    I don't put too much into the puffery, and spun up words about the new hires, though. Everyone is excited about the new coach, when the previous coach was fired for cause. Those words are not linked to success. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

  • @JohnRoberts-pt8cu
    @JohnRoberts-pt8cu 21 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +11

    It's the mindset. If you go into the game with doubt, then you have already lost, Lexie is a good defender with a great shot, but improving her short game and defence and layups would take the pressure off Caitlin and her teammates, this was coach Sides weaknesses, she couldn't inspire some players to play to their fullest potential, and there's still a couple of players on the team that could under the coaching from White improve tremendously if they listen and try their best, those sitting on the bench, not getting enough time to develop and be integrated into the team game, more time on court and not just 5 minutes, Erica I think is a candidate for getting better, she showed promise, plus she fits in with her personality, the job is for coach White is to get the ladies in the weight room, and on court training together, plus a making sure there's no Juke food going down there throats, a stable diat, that gives energy for the long haul, we want to see each player to be able to play a full 40 minutes, and adding to there skills, so before the end of next season we will have 12 Caitlin Clark's on the team.

    TBH I don’t think Sides and management made the fever players fully understand how to play with CC as point guard. I don’t think management truly knew what they got and threw her in the mix and the team didn’t understand when she throws, you should already be there. It took them half a season to figure out she is far beyond where you need to be. And CC took the fall for that first half season. Not the coach or management. They were not ready for fast pace long passes.

  • @DarkManX16
    @DarkManX16 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

    7:58 you can try but all 5 players being unguardable or hard to guard is a little unrealistic considering the history of championship teams and the fact that everybody on the team won't have the ball as much as Caitlin or Kelsey.
    Plus CC is going to get doubled a lot so Lexie becoming a sniper in the corner will help out a lot for the team

    • @grb024

      The reason they didn't beat the Aces is because they were out-coached. Becky Hammon intimidated the hell out of Sides, and always asserted her dominance with the refs. The Aces really had the refs on their side because Hammon demanded it with her ferocity on the sidelines. I'm not criticizing her...that's what a good coach SHOULD do. Sides was just weak and easily intimidated, so she kept to herself and her team. Sure, she stomped around a lot during the game, but none of it was measured to motivate the referees. That won't happen this year.

    I am of the belief to stick to what your best at then slowly branch out if possible. Not every player is good enough to be well rounded. Its the GMs job to put together a team that their best areas help each other. Like on the Knicks they traded for both the best left corner 3pt shooter and the best right corner 3pt shooter. After trading for the best big man shooter the floor is spaced and we have a top 2 offense. Everyone sticks to what they are best at and it helps the team best because they are well constructed.

    Every player in the starting lineup becoming more dynamic will take pressure off Caitlin Clark, which will then make Caitlin even more dangerous. I expect to see Caitlin averaging maybe 25 (and at least 10 assists) per game. I also expect to see Lexie Hull consistently scoring double-digits every game. The Fever will be fun to watch.
    I still hope they can improve on defense, too.

      Six weeks training camp is more than enough..remember, at least they're familiar with each other now. The gap between seasons is just too long, so playing overseas and/or unrivaled would definitely help with the conditioning and skills. Boston and Samuelson started last season out of shape, expect them to be in tip top shape this time (they know they have to be with White coaching and Clark running the floor)//

      They don't have to... The starting salary for a rookie, including those that have yet to graduate, is at a minimum 20% higher than the typical graduate's 1st year. That is solely determined by the rookie wage scale. The last player drafted, so long as they remain on the team, guaranteed to make 80k in their 4th year. But wait, that 1st year grad... has to work all year to earn that. These players have the opportunity to work elsewhere, to make even more. They only work 1/2 a year for their WNBA teams.

    Happy holidays Ms. Ross: I’m just worried about the unforeseen possibility of injury or exhaustion that could occur with the Fever’s players risking injure playing overseas or playing in Unrivaled (which is an oxymoron of a name for a women’s basketball league when you have the WNBA featuring the unrivaled best women basketball player…I have seen…and I have been involved in women’s basketball since the 80s where I coached women’s basketball for more that 20 years in the US Air Force.) …because that will derail the Fever’s championship aspirations. Being a former women basketball coach like yourself that’s always the exponential threat when management is doing a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis that Lexie said the Fever organization has evidently done to include players development.
