Awww he's on a roll now with the KC... I want a Throwbackness shirt man where can i get those? And that guitar that sounds like a clavinet, it really a guitar recorded at half speed and played back at regular speed... Recording trick folks used to do back in the 70s

KC &The Sunshine Band is exactly the band the world needs right now. Bringing the funk: taking the music seriously without taking themselves too seriously. And I'll tell you this, as an old trombone player, watching those cats dance is both thrilling and exhausting🤣🤣🤣

Back story with KC's first album. Heard this on Casey Kasem's Top 40. KC was employed as a Custodian, cleaning a Recording Studio. But he didn't want to get paid in cash. Instead he wanted studio time instead. That is how he got to cut his first LP. What a great Rags-to-Riches story.

Brings me back to Big Daddy’s in Marina Del Rey, 1975. We would dance from 10:30p.m.-2:00 a.m. and continue right on through “after hours“ until nearly dawn. The 70’s had the best music--rock, R&B, disco, and funk--I loved and danced to it all. You are like watching a child on Christmas Day as you open these musical gifts. Jamel, keep spreading the joy!

I was in the bathtub listening to this and was dancing in the tub. I love listening to these reaction videos because it reminds me of the decades of unbelievable music that I lived through. Disco was great. It was true dancing music. Hell, there’s no music that’s not. I know you’ve done the BeeJees, but for yourself you should look up the Saturday Night Fever videos that John Travolta was dancing in. He killed it. Unbelievable dancing. He was truly incredible!!! Disco dancing, with a partner is considered one of the hardest dancing to do, especially in competition. You have to practice forever to do it the way it was intended. Don’t know if it can be posted. Stupid copyright crap, but you still would enjoy the dance scenes. Simply incredible!
