I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this mini album! I think it's the first time I have heard and gone through an entire RV album and it was great! Joy really stood out for me in this album! Queen came, saw, conquered and dipped in style!!

BYE BYE orrrrrr On a Ride are my personal favorites, but gosh if every song isn't just SO GOOD - this is what ReVeluv come to expect and I for one am SO SATISFIED. You really pointed out many musical elements and vocal performances that I loved in the album as well - there is an additional challenge for your ears if you want one for fun! I SWEAR I am hearing bari sax in Celebrate, I'm about to try to see if I can play with the audio and find it..... but it would be fun for me to see if you can hear it :D

Haha right I have accepted your challenge and I can hear exactly what you're on about. Specifically around the second chorus, around 1:21 in the song (not in my YT video lol) and then again sporadically after that. Just tucked away under the keys! But I really did have to concentrate to pull it out!
It is really light in that mix though now that I can pick it out... such clever instrument arrangement because it could be quite easy I assume to have a bari sax kind of be more prevalent in the mix, but that is actually a perfect use of it in my opinion. Great reaction! Love this album, and I dare anyone to sit completely still during ZOOM 😎 A bit of constructive criticism : the first time you listen to a song, I would recommend listening it through one time without pausing (I know copyright demands it sometimes) or without analysing. Simply so the first time you hear it is a proper experience for you, and then second time around you'll already have an idea of places you'll want to pause and so on. Perhaps take notes the first time around. This way you'll also know if a big chorus is coming up or a lyric coming that will answer a potential question you have.
An example from another reactor I saw reacting to another group: he paused the song and talked for close to four minutes about how the song really was underwhelming bc it didn't have any big chorus with synths behind, how it would have saved the song in his mind and how the group should know those things after so many years and bla bla bla. Only to press play and two seconds later: big, almost huge, chorus backed up by epic synths. Exactly what he would have heard, if he'd listen two seconds longer. 😂 imo it's also much easier to get a proper feel of a song just listening the first time. 😊
Please take this as it is meant : constructive criticism. Love your enthusiasm and it's clear to hear, you're really feeling the music. And Red Velvet is just about the most deserving of enthusiastic fans who support them. I count Myself as a ReVeLuv as should you. Looking forward to more RV reactions 🤘🏻😎
Hi Henrik, thank you so much for your comment! Apologies it has taken me a while to respond to it! Don't worry I do take it as it's meant XD I always appreciate people's advice for when it comes to reacting as I am still fairly new and finding my way of doing things, so I really do appreciate you taking the time to offer up advice. And please know I do consider everything people say and try to learn from comments! With regards to listening to the song all the way through first, for solo songs/mv's we check out that is definitely a possibility, as when we play the song back with lyrics it allows for the pausing at parts we want to discuss along with the lyrics. Although I do think you're giving my idiotic brain too much credit when it comes to remembering all the points I want to make, which is why I usually just pause when I think of it, cause honestly, it'll disappear if I don't! However, the other side of this way of reacting is that when we go through full albums we run the risk of doubling the length of the video if we do a full listen then play back and personally I would rather not take up everyone's time like that and sometimes I do not have the time to do that. But thank you very much for the advice, I have definitely taken it onboard and will see what I can do in the future about incorporating it into the reaction. Have a super blessed day!
RV has a great members, everybody can sing, rap, do whatever they need to deliver epics albums. One of the things that I love is the fair lines distribution, everybody sing or rap in the verses or in the choruses or in the bridges and we know whoever sing the line, it will be amazing and beautiful delivered.
I 100% agree, they are just super talented women and they absolutely crush it!
I noticed that sadly these lyric videos have quite a few mistakes. Especially “on a ride”, which missed like half of Irene’s lines. For example 24:24 and 25:33 are Irene and not Wendy. This is however really common so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. But moving on I just wanted to say that i’ve really been enjoying your videos lately.
I noticed a few here and there also but again not much that can be done sometimes! I still think they did a great job with them! And I always appreciate people taking the time to make those videos because I would be awful at it.

@@atgnireactions5343 You too. And yes the people making those videos have more patience than I ever could, especially considering how repetitive the process of editing them is. I’ve given it a try and it’s not for me. Also mistakes are only natural with how quickly they have to release the lyric videos.
@@matilda3420 Yeah it must be insane how much they have to do for it, they have the patience of saints. Much like you said I could never haha I struggle stitching together my own videos! They are super swift that's for sure
Yeah, this early there are always some little mistakes here and there - and especially for Wendy and Irene because Wendy is a chameleon and Irene has such a pure vocal, it really is easy to confuse the two even for those of us who have hours and hours of studious Red Velvet listening in our experience! :D ahahaha But it is good to note for @ATG&NI so that they can help refine their own ear as well.

Finally got my copies of the album on Tuesday and have been listening to it non-stop since then.
( Got Joy's photocard in each one... not sure if that was a coincidence or not. )
My favorite b-side is definitely Zoom, closely followed by On A Ride.
You discovered something regarding Birthday that I learned a while ago. A lot of RV's songs rarely really hit you on first listen.
But by the third or fourth, they're stuck in your head and refuse to leave.
And I've said it before and I'll say it again... when all 5 of those girls sing together, nobody sounds better.
Lee Soo Man hit the jackpot when he put this group together, and it will be a while before we see their like again.

Now it's one of my "can't-live-wirhout" RV tracks.
I've been a fan long enough now to know that you never judge one of their songs after just one listen.
don't know about them touring bcz we are also still waiting for it just fyi they will be part of the smcu every year sm ent holds freee online concert for fans which you can see for free on youtube and other online portals where all sm artist perform and some have special collabration like last year it was GOT the beat where idols from 4 different generations performed together etc plus sm winter album is comming soon and rv will probably be having a winter special song in that album and next year Red Velvet have been announced as part of the line up for the Primavera Sound Festival 2023 in Barcelona! They’ll be attending on June 1st 2023
Oh really? Do you know when it is because I would be so up for watching that concert! THEY'RE GOING TO BE AT PRIMAVERA!! No way!! Dreamcatcher went this year and I couldn't get tickets! Maybe I definitely try and get tickets for next year to see RV
