despite being physically close and speaking the same languages from time to time, you scandinavians have completely different languages from each other, I wonder how, cuz in the americas we just speak dialects from the languages of our old colonizers and one of the youngest independant country(from victorian Era) is Brazil, having independance in 1825 and norway had theirs in 1905

Dutch person here. We kinda have the same word for it: haastigheid = quickness/rush, vaart = rapidly ongoing. The general word for it though is snelheid = speed. The Norwegian and Swedish pronounce is the closest to Dutch. Unlike the German meaning of fahrt, fart (scheet) basically means to pass gas.
There's actually a difference between hastighet/fart, the former meaning velocity and the latter meaning speed. And although the two words are often used interchangably, from a physics perspective velocity and speed are two different things.
I like how Finland is the only one wearing a beanie. It solidifies the fact that even though all these countries are Nordic, Finland is odd one out as the only Uralic country.
