💠Intro and syllabus 💠
♦️ Chemistry has 19 chapters and makes 27% of Mdcat McQs. Chemistry me bhi same strategy, divide chapters according to their difficultly level like for some students organic is easy for me physical was easy so depending on your mindset Divide your chapters. Baqi goin through strategy same hi he as described in first post.
💠 Mindset 💠
♦️ Mindset is very very important as some students finds chem boring due to exceptions. I personally don't like it. But it doesn't means that I can't do it.
♦️Just with the mindset that I don't like it, automatically the idea of I can't do it comes into mind and this is why I missed in Etea chemistry even it was easy.
♦️So even if it is boring it doesn't mean you can't do it.
💠 Chemistry Preparations 💠
♦️ Chemistry is of three types, organic, inorganic and physical chemistry. In sab keliye alag alag approach he.
🔵. Physical Chemistry 🔵
♦️ Physical Chemistry Contains almost 10 chapters out of 19 which is very large portion.
♦️This chemistry is usually easy because it is pretty much similar to Physics . Here You will understand the concept and formula and will apply it.
♦️ In Physical chemistry most of the McQs are predictable like each chapter has an important topics from where almost every year McQs are made. Like
🔰Vander wall forces concepts to determine which will be liquid, gas or which will have high melting, boiling points.
🔰 Boyle's law and Charles law, gas equation relationships and how such quantities balance each other.
🔰Moles concepts especially questions like which will have more number of molecules.
🔰 Orbitals concepts.
♦️Now if I starts writing I will write a very length post but the purpose of sharing these examples was to highlight that some topic are very necessary as they are repeated in Mdcat.
🔵 Inorganic chemistry 🔵
♦️ Includes 2/3 chapters And basic of this is to understand periodic table and it's Properties.
♦️ This is the portion which students finds irritating including me 😁.
♦️It is just because aik to yad karna mushkil he aor dusra yad rakhna mushkil he. And it is common to every student.
♦️My strategy was that I had shortlisted all important topic e.g
🔰 Properties of a group like melting, boiling point and its trends.
🔰 Exceptions in these trends.
🔰 Common periodic properties and it's main concept and formulae.
🔰 Reactions of each group elements in organized way to makes it revisions easy.
♦️And used to give them again and again revision mostly at morning.
♦️This again and again review is the only way to keep it in memory so try to understand the concept the properties and then shortlist them in a proper way and then give them regular revisions.
♦️ It's obvious volatile so you need to revise it again and again to keep in mind till MDCAT.
🔵 Organic chemistry 🔵
♦️ Around 7 chapters but the fundamental chapter is Hydrocarbons so give it maximum time as it will determine your base. If you covered it properly the remaining chapters will be easy for you.
♦️One the biggest mistake I made was I thought chemistry is reactions and it's mechanisms. So don't ever think so.
♦️ Important things in organic chemistry are
🔰 Reactions where a change in reaction conditions changes the reaction.
🔰 Reaction conditions and catalyst, nature of catalysts and it's contribution.
🔰 Products of reactions.
🔰 Concept of reactions like SN and Elimination reactions.
🔰Book reading effectively.

♦️So this was the base of chemistry and my way of doing it. Shared it with you so you may have some new ideas.

Well I think library is better but it depends on your comfort. In My 2 months of Mdcat I used to be at library 10+ hours baqi study ghar me . And at this particular time I am at library studying anatomy. But seek for your comfort

Book revise karta ta aik bar, but just go through. Quarter book 2-3 hours me ho jata ta
