Fabulous Cagney , Cagney and Cagney you won't get much better than 3 of them making 1 film !
William Bendix just seems to fit every part he plays.
I was hoping to find one full Cagney movie. So happy to see you've uploaded all of these. Thanks!
A different world that is long gone.
One of the greatest comedies
What a gem of a classic, I see a lot of stars.
I loved it, love from Uganda!
Thanks so much for the uploads good sir! 😀
Have this wonderful movie.
Jimmy Cagney one of my favorite actors of all time. You can go from toughest gangster. Then to a guy who the romance every lady and dance like a champ he did.
Never tired of watching this great movie 🍿 !
Ahhh, gum& jellybeans. Love this movie!! Always liked William Bendix Mr, Cagney,, for ever, ❤❤❤
The pinball kid Richard Erdmann had a major role in the film Stalag 17 with William Holden.
The Kit Carson cowboy character stole the scene -- great actor James Barton. What a delivery he had. He appeared with John Wayne (Shepard of the Hills) & his last film was with Clark Gable in The Misfits. In this film.
This film was actually a failure at the box office. Another poster called it the poor man's Iceman Cometh. Pretty accurate.
What a great movie!Never seen this before, now its a favourite, thanks for posting.
A great film that I believe was initially unsuccessful. Does it owe something to Gorky's LOWER DEPTHS? At any rate, a few years later during the Golden age of live TV, it would have been a perfect choice.
♫ She's a good girl, Nellie! God bless her!
1:23:00 quite a pinball game victory!
Who wrote this script? I love the production!!!
Mrs Howell---- Society Lady, of course!
She was wealthy in her own right and became good friends with the actress who played Mary Ann who in turn was her caretaker and heir in the end.
Very jazz new age film
When I win the lottery this is what I will do. ;)
An oddball, arty film that reveals its distinctive charm with repeated inspection.
Poor man's The Iceman Cometh
Exactly, what I was thinking just now as I watched, Peter. Same 40s dialogue pace, the same weird setting & a group of people each with a different set of circumstances. It almost seems the TV series Cheers was based on such dramas as this. Saloon, every week different personalities wander in & there are peculiar regulars.
47:16 47:52 47:52
Strange movie!! BUT! it was good. It was a Cagney movie, but he didn't do much but sit!!!
Yes, but I could watch him standing up, sitting down, lying down. That's what makes a movie star. Gosh, his sister looks like a female clone.
Read William Saroyan, mates, in the time of your life.....
41:51 to 43:49 very impressive tap dancing
It wouldn't have been a Cagney movie if he didn't fight at some point.
I didn’t know people did lsd back in those days! This story is wacko! Pretty good though.
