- 4 disturbing facts about water in Pixar’s Elemental movie. No. 1, If Wade can hide in the water, sneaking into people’s houses is a piece of cake. He could steal some cash or even peek at someone he’s obsessed with. No. 2, When this water police said “Go back to Fire Land”, this is similar in real life to telling someone to go back to their country, which is a very racist thing to say. No. 3, Some water can be hooligans and very mean. They caused a flood in the Vivisteria building, and Wade’s uncle made him a sad painting knowing that he was going through a heartbreak. And no. 4, Wade’s mom was originally supposed to be the villain in the earlier version of the movie. As the head of the water works, her goal was to destroy the Fire Town.

Not making Wade's mom the villain was a good choice: not every story has to deliver an antagonist or a villain.
ikr and plus disney suck at making villains
@@caruspoon5289honestly the only really great villain I can think of in Disney films is Mother Gothel so valid ig
Edit : nvm forgot about frollo
@@emsiyes i meant like rn disney sucked since 2020
@@caruspoon5289 yea
Ya like Encanto, they don't have a villian
I think it's better that the mom isn't the villain. 🤷♀️
True. She is made to be the sweetest character in the movie 😭 and i love it
True ❤
Another Family member as the villain
Is good sometimes that some movies don't have a villain because there's so many movies out there with heroes and villains but this movie gives it a different kind of vibe no villain or heroes I want to see more movies like this
Same but I still kind of wanna see that version though
bro being racist to fire 💀
its an element related movie??
Idk
I mean that's the same thing as a white person telling a black person to go back home or vice versa
@@shanestrains548I'm pretty sure is based on asian racism
This movie is obviously a racism allegory. This is the story for most interracial couples

Making a sad painting for someone who feels sad is actually supportive
He basically just said he was depressed. Like “oh you are sad. I’m gonna make a sad paining if you to show you how sad you look”

@@sweetypsycho4895I agree with you cus thst kinda shows they know your sad and they understand
@@NotAlive_s, thanks, dear
Im glad Wade’s mom isn’t the villain because she is such a sweetheart
5. Water people can die by sinking into air-filled objects. This is how Wade's father (Dewey) died.
How do we know that??

Can you elaborate? I've never seen the movie, I dont quite understand
@@fizzlock This isn’t shown in the movie.

Fire was just misunderstood.
Usually it is the villains who were mistreated some point in their life, and that's why I like this movie.
Of all elements fire is most active and reactive.

Wade's mom gave The Onceler's mother in The Lorax vibes
But way more supportive
“Go back to fire land!” Really hit home and the fire people only building the houses hits hard too. (Im mexican :3)
If people die and are victims of crime caused by illegal migrants, of course there will be resentment. BTW I'm not American and I can still see the problem www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/cbp-enforcement-statistics/criminal-noncitizen-statistics
same 😭
Me too
I'm Japanese and I saw this film in Japan, but it still was quite obvious that how Fires were treated in Element City was reflecting how Mexicans are treated in the US.
I've realized it when I saw Wade's family members looking kinno surprised to hear Ember speaking without Fireish accent. That seemed a bit awkward, coz that moment gotta be caused because of their prejudice they have for Fires. OF COURSE Ember can speak fluently, she've been living in that country for her whole life! And I can tell this awkwardness rly tends to happen in life in the US, if we have Mexican origins.
I've been told to go back to three countries bc I'm mixed :((((((((

@@thatomnivoreteacher6869 oh well it was still super annoying lol
@@monkeyfat61Well, some people are just emotional like that. It's kind of nice to see a male character cry a lot over small things, both beauty and sad things.
My thought was just as Fire is seen as anger, which as we can see in the movie Ember had a bit of anger management issues, water can be seen as sadness.
WADE LOOKS SO SAD IN THE THUMBNAIL I CAN’T- (I haven’t watched this movie yet, because my parents don’t want to pay for it. I hope I can see it soon!!)

He can peek at people he’s obsessed with
Me: But isn’t he like really OBSESSED with Ember?
exactly.
But his charecter wasn't as such ,
Do you think fire take shower or pee though? Isn't water like the thing that wasn't allowed in any way in fire town
bro was really obsessed with whoever he was peaking at
" or he could peak at someone he's obsessed with" 💀
'He can peek at someone hes obsessed with'💀🤨
The movie would be so interesting if wades mom was the villain.
I still love elemental though.
edit: dang I didn’t mean to start a war. but now I’ve kind of realized that it is better without wades mom being a villain
I agree, I initially thought the air woman was gonna be the antagonist but then she helped Wade
Not really, I like how there’s not someone actively against the protagonist. Everyone wants what’s best for her in their own way, and the obstacles to ember and wade come their way naturally through misfortune and misunderstanding.
no, it would be stupid. Completely unnecessary.
Not every story needs a Villian similar to Encanto and Turning Red.
@AmericaFuckYeah4 Luca didn't need a villain but it has one and it was better for it
Message of Elemental:
racism is bad, abolish racism
“And even peek at someone who he’s obsessed with “ 💀
Ik right it's very suspicious
I think if they should us like small clips or storyboards about his mom and all that it would be kinda cool to see what could have become of the story if it stayed like that
Honestly I prefer wades mothers then the actual flood
*Peek at someone he's obsessed with-*
Idk if Wade's mom (Brook Ripple) is better be innocent or be the villain-

Number 1 is his yandere arc
I like the movie better since there isn't a villain. I think it makes the plot and story more relatable and special because of that
Honestly that villain arc would have made for a more interesting watch. Or instead of her have wade dad not be dead and be the villain.
Telling someone to go back to their country is not racists, it is xenophobic
No it is racist
What’s xenophobic
@@BBBB4444-4Bs "dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries"
Which wouldn't necessarily be equal to racism because, for example, a white American can be xenophobic to a white British person and tell them to go back to their country
@@Akalim oh okd
Precisely. Some people are just dumb and absorb everything they see on the internet or in the news as absolute fact. Obviously, a xenophobic person could be racist, too, but that phrase doesn’t mention race.
It was amazing knowing that this movie was more of Man vs Nature than Man vs Man. It happens a lot , good to see something change .
The fact that Elemental is actually based on what is happening in our world
Imagine If Wade is a pervert

"this water is a figga👴🏻"

DESTORY FIRE TOWN?
NOOOOOOO!!

I’m glad mom isn’t the villain she was sooo supportive I loved it
Wade in the water 💀
First!
bro the smile that wade made is menacing
"go back to Fireland"
literally recognized that when first watching the movie
I'm glad they didn't make her the villain. it was so nice to see a good supportive family.
"Peek at someone hes obsessed with"
I think we know the real villains.
It's wade
wattpad going crazy w those yandere wade stories 💀
When the water police said that, I felt the same trauma that ember delt. My parents went through the same thing in local parks like zoos, conversational, and others. There was only one question they asked a staff member what a word meant and what directions to see the giraffes(I was 7 at the time). And the person was very disgusted possibly by my parents accent. That staff member said to go back to your own country and escorted me, my sibling, and my parents out of the local park. Sad times.
Elemental's message is just "Racism is a bad thing to do and is sinful to God."
Bro took "Wade in the water" a whole nother level
Idk, it’s kind of refreshing now seeing a full on villain, instead we see a bad situation with no full on person behind it🤷🏻♀️
Water always finds the path of least resistance and only goes downhill without help.
i love how you explained about the part where he said go back to fireland
Thank god they changed their minds about Wade's mom being a villain, I loved how sweet and supportive she was to Ember once she noticed her talent, immediately wanting to help her and encouraging her, just like Wade!
Good thing Ember doesn't shower, Wade could be watching.
Bro they are fire they literally threaten the well being of everyone else 😭
Thank you for clearing up number three I was having trouble understanding that
Sometimes we don't need a character being villainous, sometimes the real villain is racism.
Yeah the art gallery flooding didnt go over my head i was so annoyed
i just dont see how the mom could even be a villain honestly shes to nice
NOW THATS RACIST THING TO SAY TO MY GIRL EMBER😢😢😢
“Go back to your fireplace” 💀
The part when he sees you said peek someone he's obsessed with
Bro is obsessed with elemental..
I'm glad Wade's mom wasn't the villain, but I would love to see the drafts of her being the villain.
I could NEVER picture her as a villain. I'm so distraught now
im glad wades mom never became a cartoon villain. the movie is about cultural differences and how casual racism and misunderstandings can hurt people, that wouldve changed the whole message the movie was trying to send, and honestly wouldve made it boring. it was the realistic conversations that made me connect with ember.
The second one pissed me off😡
go back to fire land is wilddd 😭😭
Even if Wade's mom was the villain I feel like in every realistic movie there's gotta be a mom villain
The second part shows Wade just so messed up😂
That was the point of the “go back to fire land” comment same with the Savannah forest line from zootopia
Wade’s mum being the villian would’ve been interesting
Man we missed a perfect opportunity to see a villain arc formed by a water person-
One of the major themes of the movie was dealing with racism.
Thank goodness they scrapped the idea of Brook being the villain
People:questions the facts
Me:EVERY DAYM SHORT IS ELEMENTAL
It could make sense, that the destruction of the garden station was actually a terrorist attack from some water people.
"He can peak with somekne hes obssed with" 💀
Blud forgot he was talking about a kids movie
Catherine O’Hara could never voice a villain! She’s everyone’s mom!
I am so glad they didnt go with that original plan.
I love the version we got but imagine if Wade’s mom was a villain
The director read the script and laughed at the amount of cliche there is. Glad he knew what he's doing and changed the story.
#1 I thought the mom wasn’t a villain.
#2 thanks for pointing out the obvious about the dad making a painting of wade crying.
I'm glad they didn't do the villain route
