    I love your videos! They have been so inspiring! I found your channel 2 years ago before I moved from Toronto to Alberta. I’m now taking classes consistently! Just want to say thank you for sharing your journey! I’ve always wanted to try my hand at the wheel and seeing your journey made it so much easier to take that leap!! 💕✨

    Thank u for sharing!!! I definitely look at a lot of people being amazed they can do pottery full time but don't often hear their journey which puts things into perspective, much needed comfort that I can do it one day 🥰💖🌸

    As always so, so calming and soothing to watch. A Glace video would be very interesting.

    Polymer clay kids unite!! 💛I absolutely loved hearing every part of this. I struggle a lot with getting caught in the comparison loop and with feeling like I should make things people want to buy. Like you said though, everyone progresses at their own pace and has different goals. Perfect reminder, thank you! This was so inspiring.
    PS - how did I not know about Glazy? Mindblown.

    I thoroughly enjoyed hearing more about your ceramics journey! I would love to see your glazing process and how it all comes together. I’ve started my clay journey this year and getting into all things glaze has been quite intimidating materials wise 😅

    i would be interested to know how much clay you use to throw a tumbler and the best ways to apply underglaze and glaze. I have such a hard time painting it on consistently. Also when Im throwing before I take it off the wheel I smooth down the sides with a rib but no matter what it ends up being rough and having texture that I end up seeing through the glaze. How do you keep your clay so smooth?

    • @sunnyoftheforest
      @sunnyoftheforest 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you underglaze on bisque you can sand down the surface to make it more smooth before applying underglaze. You might need to wash the bisqueware before underglazing/glazing depending on how much sanding you do.

    Hi Lauren! I found you not too long ago and I'm loving your down to earth style. I am a new potter, hand building like you when you started. I made 17 flasks which I thought were pretty decent, and I put them on etsy a couple weeks ago for a very reasonable price. No sales...my question is, how long did it take for sales to come in on Etsy? Thanks for your videos :)

      hi catherine! I started with selling on etsy but I do feel like doing local markets / pop-ups at local shops and posting lots on instagram is really what started to drive my sales! but hope you don't get discouraged, it's pretty normal for it to take a while to get sales when you're first starting out. I don't think I got my first sale on etsy from someone I didn't already know for over a month! :-)
