Absolutely, in no way, can I overstate how much Korn means to me; you'll hear many stories about people who claim this band saved them from taking their own lives and I am one of the stories among them; I went through alot in my teen and young adult years (I wont go into specifics lest this post become a mile long.) and Jonathan using their music to pour his heart out and share his hardships and the troubles and traumas he went through kept me going with the knowledge that I wasn't alone. Thank you, Grannies! Love you and love your reactions!
Grannies, thanks so much for this reaction! Korn is a killer band and Jonathan's vocals are always fantastic. Keep up the good work, I love your channel 💜
Jonathan Howsmon Davis, lead singer for Korn, was born in Bakersfield, California. His ancestry includes English, German, Scottish, and Welsh, so his kilts are a heritage expression as well as just super cool. ... Well his mother's family is Polish and his father's Scottish-Canadian, so there is some connection there.
JD also went to Highland High School. The school mascot was a Scot. He played bagpipes in the band to strengthen his lungs. He continues to sport the kilt as well as play the bagpipes with Korn.
Korn played a huge role in a sound change starting in the early 90s and kind of took over the reigns at the death of that grunge wave. Korn had such a unique instrument tone, especially with how loose and loud the bass was.

The Mic stand he uses, was made by an Artist called H.R.GIGER, he was the dude who first designed the first and final design or the Aliens from the Alien Movies. He sadly died a few years back...Amazing Artist!
Hey Grannies. I know it shouldn't come as a surprise but I have always loved Korn. One of the best rock bands ever and the one that drew me back into rock music. I love the versitilty of Jonathan's voice. See y'all on Wed..
Hey Janet. Thanks for your kind comments as always and for your continual support. See ya on Wed. and hopefully on 2 Retro Grannies too. Keep on rocking babies. ✌🏻🖤🎶🤘🏻
3 way tie for my favorite band! That mic stand was made by artist H.R. Giger ( the same artist that designed the creature for Alien - the movie). Fieldy is one of my top favorite bass players. It's a controversial love because he plays the bass like it's a percussion instrument and people HATE him for it. I've blown several sets of speakers in my cars because of that bass ( true story) Also... Jonathon Davis is not wearing braces....that is a "grill"which are metallic teeth caps and they are accessories ( some even have gems in 'em). I know you love Slipknot, but Korn invented this sound, Nu-Metal, and all of the bands that came after were using Korn's sound and music formula. I can't say for sure, but I'd bet King 810 is influenced by this band and probably why I like them so very much! I loved your reaction and will be watching again later when DSH gets home as it is his favorite band too! Hugs
Thanks for all the great info. Yeah, David from King 810 has one of those “grills” too. Lol. Not my favorite accessories, but what do I know. King toured with both Slipknot & Korn in 2014 and I believe both bands had a great influence on their growth as a band. I appreciate you noticing that. Keep on rocking and we’ll see ya on Wed. ✌🏻🎶🤘🏻🖤
I'm so glad you guys listened to this song. It has a weird association of freedom and being able to breathe for me. I had just managed to get out of an abusive relationship in 2006 and friends that I had been kept from seeing during that relationship reached out almost immediately to ask if I wanted to come to a concert with them. Korn and Stone Sour were the headliners. And I clearly remember standing with the audience and my friends who acted as though I hadn't just been kept from contact with them for almost two years, in front of the stage, rocking and moving in time to this particular song, feeling like myself for the first time in years. I might like it extra just because of the memory associated with the first time I heard it (and the first and only time I've seen Korn live!)

We’ve got a couple by INK on the channel right now. Great band. Check them out and keep on rocking babies. ✌🏻🎶🖤🤘🏻
I always love your reactions! Very entertaining. I'd love to see your reaction to some black metal. Specially the song Quintessence by Darkthrone! I can just imagine your reactions now 😂
Thanks Bianca for the suggestion. We’ll try to see what we can do sometime soon. Keep on rocking babies. ✌🏻🎶🖤🤘🏻
Please please react to my cousins band Monument Of A Memory.
Song “Victorious When The Devil Failed” feat. Will Ramos of Lorna Shore!

My wife is Wiccan and i'm Pagan, but still, "be good people" is mostly how we feel towards people.
Thanks babies. We’re glad to hear that you believe in being good to people. There’s a pair of reactors here on TH-cam called 2 Cute Pagans that you might want to take a look at. Joey & Crystal are their names and I’m sure they’d appreciate a like or sub or both. Keep on rocking babies and hope to see ya on Wed. ✌🏻🎶🖤🤘🏻
@@nanaking9560 absolutely will, y'all keep rocking. \m/
Can you guys react to Freak On A Leash or Falling Away From Me?
Could you please react to America by Deuce

$🇩🇪🇺🇸🇩🇪🇺🇸💵💵😋50.
May be the worst Korn song to pick
I guess that’s what makes us unique, because Granny Haze and I liked it very much actually. Keep on rocking babies. ✌🏻🎶🖤🤘🏻
One of most boring songs they have on discography and live. Damn... Grannies gonna watch something good too?
it isn't as awesome as some of their other songs, but this is definitely a song to blast on a car radio with windows down... just a dumb, fun song
Arturs , Probably not as far as you’re concerned anyhow. Still, keep on rocking. ✌🏻🎶🤘🏻🖤
@@dethisbtfl we really liked the song though. We’ll probably do more Korn sometime soon. We’ll see what happens then. Thanks babies and keep on rocking. ✌🏻🎶🤘🏻🖤
More Korn
Got ya. Keep on rocking babies. ✌🏻🎶🖤🤘🏻
