@@HQGARAGE Yeah definitely better for a video. I messed up the bulb the first time when I was putting it back in so had to buy another. It went way faster the second time.

Hey buddy, how do I fix the flap that redirects the beam to a high beam? I can't figure out how to get it repaired and electrician said if opening the Plastic casing might not be able to seal it nice back again @hq_garage
You can open up the headlight by putting the headlight in the oven at 170 degrees for 10mins. This will soften the adhesive enough to split it apart. You can then buy the proper adhesive to reseal the lense after the flap is fixed.
@@HQGARAGE thanks. also. do you know if it works as both low beam and high beam. i search that both use the same 9005. but not sure if it works for both. and will the cap close back ok? i see the end is somewhat longer at the end from the photos.

I think the yellow lights looked fine, although it would still be nice if they were warm white LEDs. I'm not convinced I need bluer lights. Isn't blue light supposedly going to mess with my circadian rhythm? I'd rather just leave the lights as yellow.
I also believe it not so much about color as it is about light output, the new led lights produce a much better and brighter light for visibility and safety

does this work for 2019 Elantra gt hatchback?
Just letting you know, HID are suited for the low beam projector lense, LED for the high beam reflector housing
Except in the manual it says that HID bulbs may interfere with the vehicles automotive system.
Having a hard time getting the connectors loose. Does anyone have any suggestions for me to try ?
Hello HQ_GARAGE I recently upgraded my headlights to my 2019 Elantra to LED they’re awesome thanks for informative video👍I have a question for you did you change your DTR lights??😀
Thank you for the kind words, no I have not changed my DTR lights
You’re welcome and Thank you for the fast response👍
hello i was wondering where do i find a 2019 elantra led headlight?
Hi, how we can adjust the lights?
I was actually able to get the bulbs in and our without all that other work. Driver side was a very very tight fit. My hand now looks like I got in a fight with a cat.
Yup I can believe that. It definitely it doable without removing anything but it sure made it easier especially for video purposes.
@@HQGARAGE Yeah definitely better for a video.
I messed up the bulb the first time when I was putting it back in so had to buy another. It went way faster the second time.
Dan’s that sucks but glad you got it all figured out.
Can someone help answer these questions… i ordered a 9005. The highbeam is on the inside and the lowbeam is on the outside. But when hooked up the 9005 didnt work. I was trying on the inside light. Maybe? Idk i returned and picked up an H7 but now that doesnt seem to make sense before getting into it. Just looking for answers as im confused now
What year is your Car? Where are you located?
@@HQGARAGE 2019 GT. Texas. US.
@@HQGARAGE because whats also weird, i actually have a headlight assembly because i was sent 2 by accident. So i have one so I can actually see what it looks like perfectly. The 9005 i had would not be able to fit on the outside. The highbeam is almost like a wall plug connector
You need an H7 for your bulb

Whats the name of the headlight lamp where the Stripe lights up? Like the ones in the video the ones on my car are a solid Silver and I also see a Elantra in my town driving around with them too and I really want them lol
With further reading the comments, His headlights came like that? is it a different trim level I am assuming? Like I said, My head light that design is a just a solid silver piece and not an actual light like his.
It is basically the base model so I am not sure why my lights have the LED strip but all the eleantras I have seen around town all have the same headlights?
@@HQGARAGE Thats so weird lol, All of them I see here in my town doesnt have the LED strip except one guy thats driving around. I have a Black elantra and I think those would look super clean on mine, Ive been searching google and Ebay for them and cannot find a single one. Your very lucky! lol
I have found the entire headlight assembly on eBay before but not just the led strips.
Will this work for 2019 Elantra and will it give errors? Thanks
Yes it will and no it will not give any errors
@@HQGARAGE okay thank you for a fast response :))
No Problem 👌👌
Have you changed your high beams?
Mine just has the 1 bulb for both low and high beams
How would i go about also replacing the DRL?
Like the LED Strip?
The drl LED is part of the headlight assembly. You'd have to buy a new one if it's not working. Not sure about earlier models though
What about the high beams any recommendations where I can buy those
If you have the same model the high beams use the same bulb for the high beams
i gotta 2017 i’m gonna try this same light bulb on both FUKDAHATERS
Which Elantra model is this?
2020 Elantra SE
I order them for my 2016 and they didn’t fit it’s there an universal plug or so for them ??
The plug for the wiring didn’t fit or the bulb didn’t fit in the housing?
The plug for the wiring
How did you get the headlamps to light up on the edges
Those are factory leds
@@HQGARAGE what year? And trim model?
@scottesparza2028 it’s a 2020 SE Canadian model
Guys I need help!! Are low beams and high beams one?
They are in my 2020 Elantra
can these be fitted for both low and high beams for a 2019 elantra?
I would double check the numbers on the bulbs but other than that I would say so.
hi. i went to the amazon page and it say this doesnt fit 2020 elantra. does this really fit? not sure if yours is 2019 or 2020 but its the same front.
Mine is a 2020 and it said it didn’t fit but I promise you it does 👍
@@HQGARAGE thanks. also. do you know if it works as both low beam and high beam. i search that both use the same 9005. but not sure if it works for both. and will the cap close back ok? i see the end is somewhat longer at the end from the photos.
Yes it works for the low beam and high beam. The cap closes without an issue.
Can you make one for the 2018 sonata please?
If I had a Sonata to use as a template I probably could 🤔🤔🤔
is it possible to do this without removing wheel?
Yup just turn your wheel to one side and reach in.
Hey man !! Hi 5 from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷. Love the video very simple U went directly to the heart. My question this bulp works high & low beams? Just as the original ones from factory
Hey 👋 thank you for the comment. Yes the bulb works for both just like the original bulbs do from factory.
@@HQGARAGE bro got tell you!!! I did just as you said and got them thru the link U provide using your vid I install them and man the are awesome and gives the car another look... thanks 😊 🙏
Yaaasssss that’s so awesome. 👏👏 I appreciate the feedback and am happy your happy with how it turned out.
Do you have any tips for whats out there for reverse led lights on the same vehicle with high LM 6000K very bright
Let me take a look and get back to you
I have a 2020 Elantra, has anyone else noticed that when using the link to purchase these specific headlamps that it says they do not fit this vehicle? I just bought the Sylvania zXe gold bulbs in store for now, but plan to convert to LED headlamps and DRL. I read that in some cases you have to have something programmed for the LEDs to work on these cars, as anyone ran into this issue? Thanks!
When I ordered the bulbs they said they did not fit the vehicle as well. But they definitely fit and do not require and programming or anything else to make them work. They are still in my car and going strong.
@@HQGARAGE awesome! Thank you, I will be ordering for both my Elantra and my husbands sonata. I will admit I didn’t watch your video to the end before replacing my bulbs after about 20 minutes of trying to remove the bulbs i learned taking the inner fender guard loose was much easier, I’ve learned my lesson and will watch until the end from here on out. though next time I may consider removing my wheels. Thanks for the informative video!
What year are them headlights cause mine don’t light up
Mine is a 2020 base model
Me too 2020
So what type of headlight do I look for or is there a plug to go to them
For some reason the Canadian cars came with the led headlights like mine
So is there any place I can order them
I think the yellow lights looked fine, although it would still be nice if they were warm white LEDs. I'm not convinced I need bluer lights. Isn't blue light supposedly going to mess with my circadian rhythm? I'd rather just leave the lights as yellow.
I also believe it not so much about color as it is about light output, the new led lights produce a much better and brighter light for visibility and safety
You can choose the color temp. 60000 temp is a pure white with no blue. 35000 to 50K has blue, more with the lower temp. Below 30K goes purple too.
Is there any way to order the led line that is on that headlight assembly
I’m not too sure to be honest, I imagine if you went to someone who specializes in modifying headlights they could probably help with ordering them or even retrofitting your OEM lights
