    Thank you so much for this video, I felt that most of the videos I watched except this was over-sharpened for my liking and I was hesitant to order one. Now I think I'll take the leap. I have the OG osmo action and it has been amazing using it.

    Could you consider doing a comparison between the Osmo Action 4 vs One RS 1-Inch Edition? Curious to see how they compare. I wonder if the larger sensor will still outperform the Action 4 even if it is slightly older.

    The Osmo 3 produced only huge 4k files that were too large, is there a compromise in the v4?

    • @stefpix
      @stefpix ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am tempted to buy it. But also in my experience DJI video files tend to be huge, compared to GoPro and Sony mirrorless video files. I wish someone would do a comparison. This looks great for low light and usability. But GoPro has the advantage of shooting 5.3K which allows extrapolate high resolution still photos. I had a video frame of a shark recently printed full page width on a newspaper. If I had taken it at 4K the still frame resolution would have been much lower. No one seems to mention the file size. It is an important aspect when traveling.

      Wrong. GPS Remote control for Osmo Action 4 IS available.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @davidedmunds Do you have any source for that information? I don't think that it is correct.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @davidedmunds An important detail is that it doesn't go to sleep after 5 minutes, it shuts down. There would have to be constant bluetooth connection even when the camera is "powered off" to make it able to be turned on by the remote control. That would destroy the batteries over time, so I think that it wouldn't be wise to do it that way.
      Power off time can be extended to 30 minutes, so I recommend doing that if you want to take long pauses between the clips.
      Edit: There actually is a setting in the camera that allows the remote control to wake up the camera within 30 minutes.

    @snokefilmmedia ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice review! However, until DJI wakes up and releases custom firmware to unlock more features in the same vein as GoPro did with GoPro Labs, they will continue to lag further and further behind. Compared to a _stock_ GoPro 11, the DJI Action 4 is barely competitive in a few aspects. But compared to GoPro Labs, it's not even close.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Nonsense, it is more than competitive and it beats GoPro in a lot of aspects. GoPro labs features are extremely niche, vast majority of GoPro users don't even know that they exist. They are not very direct competitors due to the difference in the FoV.
