That was incredible. That is a complex song and they actually made it sound like it does on the CD. Saw these guys twice. Once was on Ozzfest in San Bernandino and the other on the October Rust tour, galaxy theatre, santa ana, california First CD I bought of these guys was the digipak of Bloody Kisses (1994?) Been listening to a lot of thrash and punk the last few years. Its time to get back into some type o. 11/2/2009
40ozFab Peters lowest recorded note was a D1 in Black Sabbath, FTSP (come, we will play in the fire) - that would be around 36-37 Hertz. By popular non classic singers this was only exceeded by Ville Valo and Mike Patton as far as I know.
Alot of the low end in the band was also Josh playing rhythm keys. When you recognize Pete's tone you start to see where alot of the extra low end is coming from. If you look at Black No.1 (from this same show) look at the section towards the end, when their singing "lovin' you is like lovin' the dead' and Pete isn't playing, the "bass sound" you hear is Josh.
LOVE TO PETER STEELE, JOSH SILVER, KENNY & JOHNNY! I MISS YOU ALL. YOU WERE THE BEST GOTHIC METAL AND ONLY GOTHIC METAL TO ME! LONG LIVE THE GREENMAN IN OUR HEARTS!!!
This was my first concert ever.... they opened up for pantera in 94. I was 14. I knew more about these cats than I did pantera. But I totally fell in love w dimebags playing. RIP... TYPE O forever and always!!!!!!!!!
RIP Peter. You were an inspiration, and a hero. The world might have been dark before, but your absence makes it that much more so. Farewell Thermonuclear Warrior.
Listened to this song so much when I was 14 and a lonely goth kid. It gave me comfort back then. And it still does, although I'm not lonely or goth anymore.
Seen Type O live 5 times and hundreds of other bands live, They were def. my favorite. They jammed every song, tickets were really cheap compared to other bands, and they NEVER SOLD OUT
literally just found out about this band, then found out the singer just died. such a shame they are amazing and sound like they would be amazing to see live! RIP Mr Peter Steele.
this year we lost two of the most iconic, humble, and talented frontmen in metal history, Peter Steele and Ronnie James Dio. RIP guys, you both are TRUE metal gods now
Love this fucking band!!! RIP Pete your voice is incredible. I missed opportunity to see Type O in Orlando some years ago and that's something I SINCERELY regret!!!
Pete, you'll always be remembered man! April should be a happy month, but as the 14th looms near, I fear a great day of depression and mourning. You are missed!
5:10 Back when women were profound and enthusiastic about real guys. Men who were men enough and still sensitive in their own way. Fortunately, I am also such a man and have seen these times. Plus I still have my long dark hair!
Another Great from LOL425425 .. Thank you sooo much. LONG time TON fan here from the beginning, Ive never seen them live but I/we will before long, I hope.
born 81 i am a metal fan since about 97. i just found out about this song some months ago, and it really depresses me that i wont get any new stuff of this epic band >.
My buddy and I got to hang out with him backstage in Atlanta. The dude's a LOT bigger in person. We were in this room and Johnny was drunk off his ass playing air-guitar to AC/DC, and Kenny comes out of the bathroom with some blonde chick. I turn around to find myself looking at some guy's chest, and I look up and see the man himself. That night was surreal!
Great. I like this song, especially after 3,35, with clean thing on guitar. Voice is awesome. I like "World coming down" album most though (my friend gave me that album last year. never heard of a band before. he died also a month later. That's the memory.)
At the Type-O/Danzig show in 1994 at the International Ballroom in Atlanta, Peter sang, "Eerie Von looks like me." And Kenny Hickey was on the floor for the entire Danzig show. I don't think anyone recognized him back then... not in Atlanta, anyways. Needless to say... killer show.
Possibly one of the best live versions of any song by any band. Ever.
That is all.
You rule. That is all.
That was incredible. That is a complex song and they actually made it sound like it does on the CD.

11/2/2009
the most melodic, sensual, dark metal ever made. It's like Black Sabbath and Pantera's undead aborted baby. Zombies rock
This is the most accurate description ive ever seen of this band
The whole album is about heartache, depression, break-ups, isolation, sombre, grief, hopelessness
Supernerd4245 That's really what about 90% of Type O Negative is about. Just listen to all of World Coming Down
That is why I love it. He hits me right in the heart. Dusty the 2nd.
Nothing I can relate to more never has been
You can hear the bass so clearly here.
Amazing low-end to the sound!
+Chirodip Basu Right? It's so good.

This was my first concert ever.... they opened up for pantera in 94. I was 14. I knew more about these cats than I did pantera. But I totally fell in love w dimebags playing. RIP... TYPE O forever and always!!!!!!!!!

Uma das melhores vozes que já ouvi, pena que não está mais entre nós.
RIP Peter. You were an inspiration, and a hero. The world might have been dark before, but your absence makes it that much more so. Farewell Thermonuclear Warrior.
At 3:54 even when he messed up he cleans it up so well. "uppp"! and just goes on. Love The Steele!
