I should clarify that I did have to make improvements to my game in D5. I definitely had to get better at converting my light confirms into more damage, improve my execution holes and notice player tendencies quicker. Dealing with mindset is what helped me to pull those things off under pressure. Getting from D5 to Master took me about 4 separate sessions (all other ranks were done in one sitting). The longest of those is up on Twitch, and a chunk in the middle is missing. Hope you enjoy the games.
Thank you! I recommend looking into the Haute42 controllers bro. They’re inexpensive, available from Amazon and Aliexpress and they have various sizes and styles to choose from. I have a video on my channel talking about all of them very briefly and also some long form reviews of most of them. The only one I would say to steer clear from is the smaller M model (the M Plus is great) because I heard that one has problems.
Congrats on getting master. Been watching your progress good job. Im also a Cammy player but hard stuck D5 (highest got to is 24100 its been like a yoyo lol) playing on PC with PS4 pad. Think I have the same issue confirming into doing more strong damage combos. Can see your confirms and combos are much better. Just ordered a Haute42 T16 leverless to see what leverless is about. Do you have a discord channel by any chance?
I don’t bro. I will consider setting it up at some point though when my following grows. Hope you take to the leverless well. It’s a strange transition but quite fun to learn. I could never play fighting games with shoulder buttons on a pad so kudos for getting so far with the PS4 pad! And thanks for following my progress I really appreciate it 🙏
Congrats on Master!! Been a cool series seeing all your games from placement to master :). I recently just made diamond 4 myself and will be beginning my last push to master here soon. For you was there a really a significant difference in skill between d4 and d5 to cause the increase in losses or was it just a bad string of matches to close it out?
Thank you! 🙏 the skill difference wasn’t massive, but it was there and I encountered more match ups that I wasn’t used to and higher quality of those match ups, so these players knew what they were doing compared to D1 for example. Watching my matches back, I do feel like my mindset wasn’t as good when I started D5 and I think it was a combination of fear of losing and ranked fatigue. My last session (when i ranked to master) was played maybe 2 weeks from the previous one and I felt much more relaxed and was able to play my game without tilt. Hope that makes sense! Good luck on your rank up!
@@VidVayder Oh yeah that makes complete sense, just wanted to hear your feedback if there was any substantial changes you had to make to your gameplan. But it seems like once you are there its just a matter of keeping a cool head and keeping your gameplay clean. Thank you for responding!
@@FlashyWhistle Don't get me wrong the players are better in D5 for sure, but I felt like overcoming that was more a responsibility on me in improving my holes. I had to make less mistakes and convert more of my opportunities into damage because the players are generally more solid. No worries bro I enjoyed responding to your comment 🙏
Just a happy update, just reached master myself :), if were in the same region I hope we wind up facing each other! I definitely see what you mean, there was such a spike in skill once I started playing D5/Master Players, really had to keep my offense really tight and leave less gaps to be punished to finally start getting wins
Grats bro! Not an easy thing to do and yeah, the new skills gained will defo help to improve your overall game. Yes maybe we will meet on the battlefield some time 💪
I just got a leverless controller as a present. I've been a stick player for about a year now but I'm looking forward to the change of pace. Happy button mashing to anyone reading :)
And grossly overpriced! You’re not wrong, but for me the size and spacing of the buttons do make a difference :) kudos to those who can play on a normal kb though!
Well, i play with pad so for me its kind of "cheating" even if its not because its way easier to do alot of the stuff on a mixbox/hitbox/keyboard like controller. But hey, as long as you have fun i guess its okay, its not like you are ACTUALLY cheating. Just me being salty because i use a different controller 😂
Haha yes some people do consider it cheating, but honestly after years of using pad and then stick, it doesn’t feel that much more of an improvement yet. I’d say all controller types have their own strengths and weaknesses. The biggest strength so far for me on leverless is 360 motions. Criminally easy!

Congratulations on master rank. I have recently learnt about leverless controllers I might be tempted to purchase one, which one do you recommend?

Congrats on hitting Master. Now the real learning starts lol
For real. Looking forward to adding new dimensions to my game now. Thanks 🙏

Enjoy! Leverless controllers do come with their own set of frustrations, but it gets satisfying when it finally starts to click :)
Just got the Chun li kitsune your vids helped a lot as a Chun main
Good to hear that. The Chun Kitsune looks sick!
Handcam?
My bad. The pressure of playing was already overwhelming so setting up various cams wasn’t my priority. I will do hand cams if I stream in the future.
leverless controller? you mean just a keyboard with fewer buttons? xD

Tell that to Angry Bird. #Real Men Use Stick.
