I love how every one of these new ship reveals is like a fricken car add
Yea but this is the “space whale” everyone has been waiting for.
It's because they are made to be in-game advertisements for these ship manufacturers. It's totally on purpose.
It's because they it's a real add. They are selling the ship asset for real money. But most importantly they are selling you dream.
IronFreee that’s right. And car dealerships would be wise to take notice. They’re making far more money than most car dealerships.
@@jbirdmax Yes, they found the model :) Hope they will come with a decent game one day, but even so a lot of people are going to be disappointed. Nobody knows what the final product is supposed to be anymore, they let everyone imagine a different thing. And they take their money :D
Imagine you have a group of 5 explorer friends and you all crew up this ship together. You log off for a day and come back on in entirely new star systems with unexplored territories abound. That's the future I'm waiting for
This game would be insane with the planet generator that No Man's Sky uses.
@@brandonmorales2215 No Man's sky is arguably one of my most played and favourite games, and i can tell you, the planets are not close to as detailed as star citizen's, they are just generated big masses of similar biomes. Cool for a while, gets boring after a week, star citizen's beauty is the detail to every planet, ship, and interaction. What would make star citizen insane would be either a better generator or alot of dedication to the game.

The Gibbening is here at last. Ironically, my first day at this job was the day the Carrack concept was revealed, and today is my last day. And there's a golf course called Carrack Crossing down the street.

Asdrubal Leon they’re in as well as the armor for the window, it just doesn’t work yet.

@@Unmannedair yea, CR said it was a background (placeholder texture). Now we have something that doesnt look at all like the demo, still impressive tho. Not hating (big time backer here), just pointing out that the locations seen on the Carrack commercial are 2D backgrounds with a few real assets

*_OK SO_* _I mean the high resolution is one thing._ But good God the amount of content that was in that trailer is insane!!! This trailer and the Banu Defender video are both insane! I hope we can have dark almost tropical type forests like that someday. Or caves that look like that and the only way to get to them is through a crack in the surface of a planet. And it is truly "inside" the planet. Not just "into" the planet if you know what I mean, like they are now. Open fields of grass and rolling hills. Or whatever that grass type thing is called. And those hoodoo type structures that you can climb on. I hope someday we can actually get all of that. I know it's just a trailer and most of the stuff is pre-rendered and animated. But good God. Someday. Someday I hope I hope. I'm drooling geez.
The last comment I'll make is it seems that the lighting is actually different. Like the entire lighting is not as washed out and is also darker and more rich in color. In fact it looks like it's a concept drawing almost. I actually prefer that kind of lighting setup over what we have now. Which seems a little too bright. I know you can mess with the graphics control setups in the options, but even then it doesn't quite give the same feeling. I hope whatever we saw in this trailer will someday make it into the game, lighting included.

It's amazing that's only a fictionnal promoting video for a fictionnal ship but the words the guy says in the background are so strong. Strong enough for me, a 15 years old young man now, who loves video games and who's fascinated by space and animated by the dream of exploring it in the future, to make me wondering again and again not just about what's out there, but what's WAITING FOR US out there !

Just decide on which content version you want from the ongoing patches and jump in. This will be going on for the next ten years and people will still be asking “when’s it going to be released”. Christopher Carter if it’s true, then we have already more content than we know actually. With the ‘secret’ content dev for SQ42, i believe there’s a LOT of content already done.

I got this game for like 7 years now , I finally bought a nice ship . I went for the BMM and i hope in another 7 years i will be able to pledge for the carrack aswell . Just because i want to support and i would love to have the ship right from wipe day 1 . Cant wait till exploring comes out and i hope i will have a carrack by then !!

I mean, if CIG could just get the sound in game to the level it is in the trailer this will push immersion beyond any other game out there. Sounds are so underrated... like the rustling of the plants as he walked through the fields, awesome.

I believe 3.8.2 is being dropped today to the PU
Still needs it's remote bottom turret, internal cargo and longer landing gear as it's almost scraping it's tummy.
And it kind was nerfed for no reason as it still don't fit the Large pads right and almost kills it self on spawn. Should have kept it larger and landing at XL pads, as it's not going from landing zone to landing zone anyway, as it's suppose to be out in the unknown 90% of the time.
This is going to be the next World of Warcraft
