Squid season in Rhode Island is extremely popular. Our main squid season is May and June. The boat I go on runs nighttime trips Wednesday through Saturday, 7pm to midnight.
In Cape cod!! If you think for one second a fisherman is gonna tell you where his honey hole is you're either a noob or not very good at fishing which is both! Btw I'm one of those guy's too so don't get butthurt 🤣
Recreationally, I think it's no limit. On the boat I go on out of Galilee, RI, it's not uncommon to catch whole buckets full in a span of a few hours. Our main squid season is mid-May through June. The trip runs 7pm to midnight, Wednesday through Saturday. They don't go far at all, only like a mile or two off the beaches.
