Smart Fortwo Brabus [Rocket Ship] - boost problems & wheel painting

I went and bought a silly car as my daily driver (not that I'm driving anywhere during Covid19!). Not quite a project car, as I don't plan on modifying it. I just want to get it running properly and looking well. Powered by a 1 litre turbocharged Mitsubishi engine.

I bought it on eBay. I don't know the exact part number as its 2.5 years ago now, but it was listed as a "Mitsubishi lancer evo 7 8 9 OEM Boost Controller Solenoid" and cost £40. It was a genuine Mitsubishi part.
