My favorite MC5 slow burner, we all need more MC5 in our lives. listening from Schoolcraft & Fielding Prof. Wayne, you need to hit up Detroit for a show this year!
that is incredible! I purchased a Rhino reissue cassette edition from a used record shop back in the late 90's when I was just learning about MC5 and the Stooges. Liked it slightly better than Kick Out.
One of the many things I love about this song is watching my girlfriend laugh her ass off whenever I sing along, trying my incompetent best to belt it out. She finds the part where I drop to my knees “Please, Please, Please” style particularly hilarious.
Probably with the guitar parts being mainly chord based, going to the bass allows him to interject more note based playing. I wouldn't say intricate but certainly more active playing than strumming barres.
@@anthonycorreia1123 I am the greatest MC5 fan in the fucking universe and love most of Wayne's work. If this collaboration with relatively current "talent" brings more recognition to WK and the legacy of the MC5, great! But this woman is no Lisa K or Maria McKee and some of her singing is downright painful listening on a cell phone. The band recording as a whole sounds fine on headphones but lack of high end on my junk headphones helps tame the screech of those vocals. She has had a career in the biz for over a decade so congrats on that but maybe some vocal coaching would help. P.S. I imported the Kramer/Nick Ferren single into the USA before anyone else.
She's truly a rockstar at heart
You should seriously consider releasing this. Could be an MC5 "hit" 51 years from the original version from High Time
ROCKSHA SLAY.

I’ve always said Kesha’s vocals belong in rock music. She’s incredible and severely underrated & misunderstood.

There isn't!
MC5 Still
Fan %$^# tastic
Not bad
Why is wayne playing the bass
Why not?

@@SavageImprint You are absolutely correct
Ttttuuuuunnnneee
No one saw this coming
It's hard to come up with a respectful comment about those vocals. Maybe try a lower key...
LOL Agree; a llittle breathing practice, maybe.
Let’s see you sing it.
