For those looking to shop City Chic, I find that they are true to their size chart but that that size chart is sometimes a bit different than US brands. For example, I never have to size up at Torrid or Eloquii and I wear their 1 or 14/16, but I have items in both Small and Medium from City Chic. In particular the Small romper did not fit and any non stretch fabric fitted at the waist you may want to size up (from your assumed size, the size chart is pretty correct). I suspect this may be because they use generous Australian sizing? Or international sizing that sometimes aligns more with Australian sizing? They are widely available on Poshmark for those who like a deal and the quality is something I haven’t seen in other clothing lately!
@@BigonStyle So sweet! I recently found you through our mutual love for City Chic (and my trying to figure out sizing) and I’m so glad I did! It has been fun to watch a bunch of your previous videos and I will be sticking around! :)
This haul is priced completely out of my budget but FUN TO WATCH. Edit: Wait a minute! I just checked out the website and found cute clothes at affordable prices on sale for under $30 $40, $50, and $70! This is definitely IN MY BUDGET! My favorite is the designer store dress you fit into and ROCKED IT, GIRL! 11:34 I also like the Hawaiian halter dress that I'm sure my hubby would call CUTE. That's equivalent to a FIVE STAR review! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Hey Meredith, have you done any clothing "set" hauls? Hubs tends to like them, too. (He's away this week and I'm missing him. Absence makes the heart grow fonder even married 42 yrs.)
I think the cranberry dress waist is called Shirring. It is always straight lines gathered with thread like elastic on the inside. I learned that on The British Sewing Bee.
Love the palm dress on you!!! So cute!!! The cream top is adorable on you. I think the 1/2" of tummy is cute, but ultimately you have to be the one to love the look. The Gilligan's Island Ginger dress is AMAZING on you! 😍 I love all of your content!!!
I have been looking at that playsuit for awhile, just might get it. You sound like me…order something, get it, try it on just to say it looks better on the model!!🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️😂😂😂
I like the black and white dress the most. I have an aversion to things cranberry to burgundy tho I love to wear red. BTW, your weight loss looks really good on you.
Liked the cute short black & white dress. The lace coverup was a win. Wish the jumpsuit would have been a smaller print, it was just to big a leaf design. You're always fun to watch !
OMG that first dress, Meredith! As soon as you held it up I was like "MINE!" Your videos are always so fun, that flower pot purse cracked me up. And that sassy romper! So cute! I can't imagine where you would wear it but then I live in NYC. Yes, you did look like Ginger in that sarong dress. The top didn't work imo, the sleeve treatment is messy. (I did manage to wear the dang floral skirt, I paired it with a knit top that didn't go. So I also pulled on a floral scarf that didn't go with either of them and pretended I did it on purpose! I was in a foreign country! Why not?)
Absolutely breathtaking! I can´t say, wich dress is not beautiful on you, the cranberry dress is my favorite. I am very sad, that we can not buy such incredible dresses in europe. But I like it so much to see it on you. Thanks for the impression of a vacation. Gabriele from Austria
I absolutely love the swimsuit and the cover!!! The jumpsuit problem was the pattern, the leaves hit wrong when they cut it out. If it was a different print I think you'd like it much better. I just love your honesty. The cranberry dress and the cover up are my favorites. ❤️❤️
Intro outfit is a winner! And the cranberry dress😊. The crop top mehhh (and not because of the belly sliver). The palazzo pants, nice. Love the shorts on you, but I feel they need a more casual top. I think the black short dress, as you said, cute and adorable. But I’d have to wear black shorts under it. Bend over or gust of wind, and you might show your south side😮. I really love the jumpsuit on you😊. The maxi is just okay. The caftan is glamorous, dahling! All this being said (or typed), I know absolutely nothing about fashion!
I am a. Size 18 top and 16 bottom. We travel to Mexico 3 times a year and what I wear on vacation I would never wear here at home. I have a sense of freedom when I’m away and my motto is “nobody knows you…nobody cares”. So I hope when you do get that vacation, you will wear what makes you happy. 🥰
My top three favorites that you tried on were the cranberry dress, romper (you looked so cute and fabulous in it), and the cropped cream/white top!! I think that all three of these pieces were tremendously flattering and looked amazing on you!! The black pants, short black dress, maxi halter dress, and shorts looked good too!! 😎 🌴🍍
This is my favorite episode ever! Your off the cuff remarks were out of the ballpark entertaining, and I really loved the outfits. Keep on being you!!!!
I love your reviews! And I love how you word how you feel about your body and how you look and feel in your clothing. And the cranberry dress is beautiful!!
Garment sewist here, I believe you are referring to "shirring" on some of the garments, its rows of thin elastic sewn on the wrong side of the fabric to gather. Yes, I'd say rayon and viscose are natural fibres. Love your hauls!
The clothes were beautiful and so were you. I love the combination of the clothes, description and most of all the stories. I agree with you on the crop top. I would spend the whole time thinking about it and worrying about it. Just not my cup of tea. I also don't know what it was about the green leaf jumpsuit. Nice silhouette, nice design, iust didn't wow me. Loved the bathing cover up especially with your hair up and glasses on. You were stunning!
That romper was cute, but not something I'd be comfy in. However, the black and white Peta Border Dress, Yes Please! And the swimsuit cover up at the end was my second favorite.
Love cranberry. Agree about palm romper. I think it’s the weirdly place huge prints that makes it distracting and doesn’t really look good. Short shirt looks good but I agree with tummy showing problems. I have given up blouses for that reason too.
I agree with your choices on this haul. The cover up was awesome. Shorts were great and I would keep the crop top with either shorts or long pants. Tiny belly showing was fine. Your belly is fine to be seen! 😊
OMG 1 this 1st dress did nothing for me until you put it on !! I mean it was 😍 etty but eh ok now seeing it on.. WOW i so want but City Chic is above prices for my e
I really liked everything except the pantsuit. I don’t like the horizontal stripe at the bottom of the legs. It just changed the look. It had an Elvis look. lol. Not sure why but that is what it made me think of.
Love the cranberry dress. So pretty. You should definitely keep the dress that supports you without a bra. You cracked me up when I you said you felt free. Haha!!😆 love your channel so much. Shopping on city chic right now!
I especially loved the cranberry dress. Everything else except the jumpsuit was great. You looked so chic in the swimsuit and kaftan! Fabulous as always, Meredith! 😊
For the white top (the cropped one) you could probably add a decorative element to the bottom like lace or fringe if you want to add some length to the waist. I find that helpful when I love everything about a clothing item but the length. Plus it can add an additional personal element to a garment. Loving the videos ❤
I'm not a fan of crop tops but they're everywhere and seem to be made for every body type. I think you should wear whatever makes you comfortable given the situation. For example when I travel to a tropical beach, I wear a bikini. I'm 64 and definitely not super toned and sculpted. I would NEVER wear that swimsuit at my condo pool but am very happy with it on vacation where no one knows me. You do you and enjoy. Beautiful clothes by the way.
Hi Meredith. That little black dress is Perfect! Wear it walking down the boardwalk or walking thru shopping centers. So cute. Also the red dress, long pants, top and green shorts. The green and white I can see that sitting out on a warm night. Same with long dark flowered dress w/o bra. You ARE fabulous in the bathing suit and black coverup. ❤❤❤
My favorites on you are the cranberry dress, olive shorts, treasure pants (with a different top), and the swimsuit coverup (so pretty!). I would never feel comfortable in a crop top but I am much older than you. The playsuit looked more like a swimsuit to me or baby doll pajamas. I was thinking a silky black v-neck top to go with the shorts and the treasure pants would be a nice packable double duty addition. Thanks for another great start to my day!
The cranberry dress is amazing! Love it! I completely get the Gilligan’s island reference 😂 Love the swimsuit coverup! The jumpsuit is cute….but the pattern repeat is super distracting! Love starting my day with you….thanks Meredith ❤❤❤❤
New Zealanders and Australians as a general rule line dry everything as first preference and tend to only use a dryer where outside weather is unfavorable. So our clothing companies would consider this in care labels, City Chic has own stores in NZ too.
Though I’m always up for a trip, I must admit that I retired to a vacation destination so I rarely want to leave home. I’m extremely lucky, & even moreso for having found your channel!
Thank you for introducing me to city chic. While I have to shop the sale section to be able to afford things, I found a lovely dress for a friend's wedding. Keep on doing the hauls, we are watching.
I used to costume high school plays for my dad and making sure the garment fits and not just making do is the key to looking gorgeous. Personally I also go for classic looks that have silhouettes that flatter me in colors that make me feel good. Including black. 😝

Thank you, Mariah! I am going to pin this comment- it is chock full of good information!

We come for the clothes but stay for the stories 😂 love your content! Much love from across the pond
I could not have said it any better. I love her so much!

Fingerlakes Wine country of NYS. So biased but 2 votes for Burgundy wine & pink
That firstplay suit/romper in blue was adorable. You looked amazing, and yes, it wasn’t natural fiber, but it was so cute you have to keep it!
Adding measurements would be so helpful!
In the UK City Chic is on Amazon.
Liked the cute short black & white dress. The lace coverup was a win. Wish the jumpsuit would have been a smaller print, it was just to big a leaf design. You're always fun to watch !

Reach up in the top. I bet that will give you your answer! Can’t wait till crops are done!

OMG- The movie clip with you was great. Cranberry and the romper are the best IMO
Thank you- it was fun!
I love the cranberry dress. I have no idea how that kind of dress would work for me because I am only 5'2.
That Peta Print Maxi was fire on you! Fun video!
The cranberry/cherry dress is gorgeous!! Gorgeous!!!
I love your reviews and your vibe!
Viscose is kind of a natural fiber it is processed wood pulp or cellulose.
I absolutely love the swimsuit and the cover!!! The jumpsuit problem was the pattern, the leaves hit wrong when they cut it out. If it was a different print I think you'd like it much better. I just love your honesty. The cranberry dress and the cover up are my favorites. ❤️❤️
You HAVE to buy that Kate Spade dress!
Intro outfit is a winner! And the cranberry dress😊. The crop top mehhh (and not because of the belly sliver). The palazzo pants, nice. Love the shorts on you, but I feel they need a more casual top. You looked great in everything but the jumpsuit. You made me smile. What a great video!❤
My husband loves to watch your videos with me. He says to tell Ross that the color of the first dress is more “Brandywine”. 😂
Lol that's awesome!
I love it- I’m sending this now!! ♥️🤣

Thank you so much!! This one was fun!!
I think you look fabulous in the first outfit and the little black summer dress with the palm tree!!
My trip to Hawaii s booked and I’m shopping… thanks again Meredith for a wonderful haul!! 🎶🌴🙏💕😎
I absolutely loved the cranberry dress!!!! Heck, I loved everything!!!!🙏🙏😘😘😘😍😍😍😍💕💕💕💕💕💕
Thank you for sitting, I feel like sometimes sitting feel is a deal-breaker for me with clothes.
Those shorts look great on you!
So uch fun❤❤❤❤❤ Shorts are fabulous
I love your reviews! And I love how you word how you feel about your body and how you look and feel in your clothing.
And the cranberry dress is beautiful!!
I always have to have alterations with City Chic. That’s not bad just extra costs
Love the berry dress!
Garment sewist here, I believe you are referring to "shirring" on some of the garments, its rows of thin elastic sewn on the wrong side of the fabric to gather. Yes, I'd say rayon and viscose are natural fibres. Love your hauls!

I loved those pants and the cranberry dress, you have great taste!
Love cranberry. Agree about palm romper. I think it’s the weirdly place huge prints that makes it distracting and doesn’t really look good. Short shirt looks good but I agree with tummy showing problems. I have given up blouses for that reason too.
Love the swim cover up
The orange (green) shorts look fab with the crop top and a little belly peeping out looks cute! And the Kate Spade was pretty! Xx
I agree with your choices on this haul. The cover up was awesome. Shorts were great and I would keep the crop top with either shorts or long pants. Tiny belly showing was fine. Your belly is fine to be seen! 😊
The black palm dress is wonderful! That's a beach resort cocktail dress if I've ever seen one
OMG 1 this 1st dress did nothing for me until you put it on !! I mean it was 😍 etty but eh ok now seeing it on.. WOW i so want but City Chic is above prices for my e
That jumpsuit look fantastic on you.
Thank you, Debbie!!
I really liked everything except the pantsuit. I don’t like the horizontal stripe at the bottom of the legs. It just changed the look. It had an Elvis look. lol. Not sure why but that is what it made me think of.

The opening was perfection!! Well done!!!
I agree. I loved it.
I really enjoy watching your videos. You always make me smile.
You are so kind, thank you!
I especially loved the cranberry dress. Everything else except the jumpsuit was great. You looked so chic in the swimsuit and kaftan! Fabulous as always, Meredith! 😊
Girl, same! I haven’t had a real vacation in about 5 years. I sure could use one!
B&W dress is classy !!
Thank you Meredith. I loved everything!
Aww, thank you!
For the white top (the cropped one) you could probably add a decorative element to the bottom like lace or fringe if you want to add some length to the waist. I find that helpful when I love everything about a clothing item but the length. Plus it can add an additional personal element to a garment.
Loving the videos ❤
What a fun video. Thank you! I loved the cranberry and palm tree dresses and the kaftan. Very glam.
The cream crop top was adorable on you!
The halter dress is another excellent summer's night cocktail dress
I think the kaftan would look cute on with the maxi as a shawl for evenings
Love cranberry dress. I never wear dresses but I’m thinking about it now. I don’t think the cropped top shows too much if that bothers you. Fun haul
You and me both with the Callgon line.
I loved everything but the off-white shortie top. Just speaking for myself, I wouldn't feel comfy in it riding up.
I'm not a fan of crop tops but they're everywhere and seem to be made for every body type. I think you should wear whatever makes you comfortable given the situation. For example when I travel to a tropical beach, I wear a bikini. I'm 64 and definitely not super toned and sculpted. Yes to the cranberry dress. I love that black and white short dress, it’s so cute. 👍🏽
You look fantastic in the blue romper 🙂
Thank you, Samantha!
Loved the cranberry and the halter dresses really enjoy your videos.
I’d want that cranberry dress in every color!
I adore it! I wore it to work this week, if it comes out in different prints, I'm on it!
The cranberry dress is to die for! Your stories...hilarious!!❤
Red and black flowered dress reminds me of Eva Gardner!
Love your Bridget Jones take…one of my favorite movies too!
me, too!! fun!
I think that shirt and green shorts are amazing and looks great on you
My favorites on you are the cranberry dress, olive shorts, treasure pants (with a different top), and the swimsuit coverup (so pretty!).
I LOVE the opening romper!
Thank you, I think it was so cute, too (even that short!)
Cranberry dress is beautiful!
The playsuit looks more modest than a one piece swimsuit or swimdress but it also feels hit the parks and shops presentable. And it is hot.
Oh, for sure- I would be much more comfortable in it than a swimsuit, too!!
Another great video. Thanks for hanging out with me while I made my lunch.
The cranberry dress is amazing! Love it! I completely get the Gilligan’s island reference 😂 Love the swimsuit coverup! The jumpsuit is cute….but the pattern repeat is super distracting! Love starting my day with you….thanks Meredith ❤❤❤❤
Thank you, Vicki! I think that may be what threw me off on the jumpsuit- I don’t like it, but couldn’t place why!
Come to Michigan ! It's warm but not 100 and we have white beaches.
The metal “stick thing” on a belt is called a tongue. 🤣🤣🤣
New Zealanders and Australians as a general rule line dry everything as first preference and tend to only use a dryer where outside weather is unfavorable. So our clothing companies would consider this in care labels, City Chic has own stores in NZ too.
PS, we call the lines of elastic "shirred", I personally would only say smocked if it was done with non-stretch thread?
I think you are wrong about the Kate Spade dress. I think you NEEDED it because it was so cute on you.
That cranberry is GORGEOUS!!! 😮 Also, LOVE the peta print halter dress! 🧡 And yes to your swimsuit/cover and shorts.
I love the Bridgette Jones Reference!! You are so funny
You have to keep the cranberry dress!
I have already worn it to work 🤣- I love that one!!
Cropped top looks great
Though I’m always up for a trip, I must admit that I retired to a vacation destination so I rarely want to leave home. I’m extremely lucky, & even moreso for having found your channel!
Thank you for introducing me to city chic. While I have to shop the sale section to be able to afford things, I found a lovely dress for a friend's wedding. Keep on doing the hauls, we are watching.
Misty, every once in a while they have such great sales! I’m so happy that you found something for the wedding- I love their dresses!
Always a pleasure.
Thank you!
What a great personality. Fun to watch. Enjoyable and honest about these outfits too.
You looked really pretty in everything except as you said the white and green jumpsuit. You look like you are slimmer👍.
Thank you, Susan!! I am working on it, but it is a roller coaster- two steps forward, one step back. Just trying to appreciate the ride!
Like the length of the shorts
I have needed a vacation for the past 45 years.
The cranberry colored dress is unexpected for summer wear and I am for that all the way. Neon colors are everywhere not cranberry and it should be 🎉
The top & long pants are perfection
Stick with the cranberry one and maybe the red halter neck both very nice
Thank you, I’ve already worn the cranberry to work!! I really love it!
I used to costume high school plays for my dad and making sure the garment fits and not just making do is the key to looking gorgeous. Personally I also go for classic looks that have silhouettes that flatter me in colors that make me feel good. Including black. 😝
