    Another great video - my only criticism is you guys don’t post frequently enough. I always enjoy your videos, thanks. 👍

      Thanks Dave. We just have to try and fit them in between work commitments.

    Interesting. IMO the MojoAxe sounded better balanced acoustically. I could hear all the strings in the strummed parts. The Glaser had more of a midrange emphasis. In the end a matter of taste.

    Question. Hello Gents. Thanks so much for the fantastic videos. Your TV front 5a3 video inspired me to build a 5a3 and a 5E3. The 5e3 is complete with the advantage of lots of commercial available parts including chassis etc. I was wondering if you may could provide a few dimensions of your 5a3 chassis for me? Thanks a bunch! Shawn

      Thanks Shawn. It's 18" wide, 16" tall then 9" deep at the bottom and 8" deep at the top. This gives the baffle a bit of an upwards tilt.

    Tone Twins! Could anyone tell me if these bridges would work with a ES-225 Long Trapeze bridge?

    • @tonetwinstv2863
      @tonetwinstv2863  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Carlos. The MojoAxe almost certainly works because it can be mounted on 'feet'. But why not email MojoAxe and or Glazer direct to confirm?

      @@tonetwinstv2863 yeah! Should try again. Thing is you guys had the 52 LP and a ES-225. It could be a theme for one of your videos. Thanks a lot for Replying! Love your channel.

      Update! if anyone has this issue. I contacted MojoAxe and there are many satisfied customers who used this Compensated tailpiece on their ES-225 & Es-295. Great News!

    Wow nice playing. Can't make up my mind on which one is "better" but holy smokes what difference! Good demo.

    I didn't expect to hear such an obvious difference. The brass really gave the acoustic sound far more mid-range, or less high-end, depending how you view it. Amplified, and especially distorted, I really couldn't tell them apart - certainly at this end of the TH-cam. How did the clean amplified sound compare?

    • @tonetwinstv2863
      @tonetwinstv2863  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Clean the brass was a touch more forward in the mids, the aluminium a touch more high end zing

    Great to see there are solutions for that design error. You would think Gibson could have come up with a similar fix at the time. An interesting demo since the two bridges do sound quite markedly different. I think I prefer the brass. Bell brass is a misnomer. There is bell metal, a form of bronze, an alloy of copper and tin. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. It would be great if someone would make saddles of bell metal, but as far as I know no one has.

    Strange, to me the Glaser sounded brighter. Which mics are those, found it really nasal tone? I would pair that maybe with a brighter sounding amp too, the tweed seems too dark.

      The mic looks like a Coles ribbon.

    Thanks so much for the video! Trying to decide which one for me. Any design or weight benefits to one or the other? Is the height adjustability on the Mojo a big benefit?

    • @tonetwinstv2863
      @tonetwinstv2863  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The mojo is lighter but not by much, hopefully the tonal differences are apparent in this video, much as you'd expect brass vs aluminium. Both are superb and we wouldn't hesitate to use either on our guitars. Thanks
