Honestly any time I hear Kirk Thornton in stuff I still recognize him as "Don Patch" before I remember his name. Also, Michael Mcconnohie has been my favorite VA for a long time, and his role as the Narrator in this show is one of the biggest contributors to that. He's had a ton of great roles over the years, (including Emperor Charles in Code Geass), but his narration in this is such a big part of the show and it's great that they gave him more lines and let him have more fun with it in the dub compared to the JP version.
Pokémaniac Guquiz Japanese PTA were always sending complaints about the violence in the series. If it were something like the series being a bit dumb I could somewhat understand that but the violence just feels like Why? I mean there is no blood, using nose hairs to attack or some other crazy way to fight and is about the least violent Shonen Jump series besides something like The Prince Of Tennis, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters and Hikaru no Go.

I can’t get enough of this show. Fights start off with actual stakes, but then they rapidly become an arms race of absurdity until one side can’t keep up and just passes out. Glorious.
I remember this show never continued because Japanese Parents were concerned the children would get bad habits because Bobobo would use his friends as weapons and human shields. The slapstick was too much for the parents to handle

I remember watching a funny moments compilation of Bobobo before I ever knew it was a thing. I decided to watch it, and to anyone who's on the fence about it, WATCH IT! I'm only 20 episodes in, out of ~70, but it's the absolute funniest thing ever! It's chaos, but it has a plot to give it enough structure that you want to return to see how it continues. I'm genuinely invested in the plot, cause you know where it's going, you just don't know what kind of path it'll take there! It just gets wackier and wackier as the series goes on, but it never feels like too much.
