One of the things I appreciate about my pediatrician is his advice. No screens before age 2. No more than an hour per week up to age 5. Books. Read every night and no TVs or devices in the bedroom because the bedroom is for sleeping. I always told mine. Guard what you read, watch and listen to. It'll drive your thoughts and thoughts drive your actions.

Disney films are full of this stuff and have been for years. Interesting that he seems surprised by the content. Mulan is helped by a dragon sent by her ancestors, Tiana deals with voodoo and Elsa was a bit of a witch who got more powerful when she got more emotional. There is always magic involved in their films. Most Christians in America are totally clueless when it comes to recognizing these things and they always want to believe they can live their own version of everything and dismiss what the Bible actually says about it. Just like "Christian yoga". When anyone from India finds out Christians here do Yoga they cannot believe it since Yoga actually means to yoke with ...to join with and unite with the Gods of their religion. Totally forbidden in the Bible. But never mind because if you stick Christian in front of it that totally erases the origin , history and meaning of the whole thing and now it is an American version of it...smh.

I agree mostly with you, but I don't think he's surprised. I think he's trying to express a strong warning to lukewarm or ignorant Christians. I think he's just using this movie as an example to express we are to avoid fellowship with darkness. I however wish that he was more zealous that he's not clueless about the industry, and witchcraft are in most of their movies, and just avoid them altogether. I watched him sometimes on Isaiah Saldivar Christian channel speak, seems like he's is trying to come across as less offensive. I personally would rather him just not concern himself if people see him as that Disney basher guy, who cares we are servants of Jesus Christ and that's who we seek to please. I think he also either has a Christian school or V1 I think Christian college. When we become desciples we have to count the cost, friends of this world are enemies to God.

@@harleenschenk4469 yoga is a spiritual practice done by Hindus. I had a friend who was Hindu before I moved away. She never talked about yoga, but I looked into it myself. The positions are meant to represent Hindu deities (and sometimes tell a story about them). Then if you take a class it wil probably get more spiritual as you go and they will tell you to meditate. If you want to understand what they mean you should watch Steven Bencarz who was a new ager that got involved in some of this. But there are other people as well. Apparently it means to yoke with Brahman, which is supposed to be some universal god in Hinduism, which new Agers believe they connect to mostly under the name of “the universe” as an impersonal god. It gets deep.
And, a lot of westerners are practicing Buddhism and Hinduism through the new age, brought to the US by the Beatles who were involved in transcendental meditation and yoga, and a Japanese man. It was promoted subliminally thorough music and today you can see magazines in stores promoting yoga, “clearing your mind” and “meditation” (transcendental)

When it comes to your children, in my life I know, I seen they listen to me sometimes but I didn't see any change for a couple of years, I have 2 daughters and a son. I knelt down and brought them to the Lord , I gave them to Jesus. I started praying for them and confessing their salvation, no matter what I seen, I would say Lord I gave them to you and I was so sincere. They wasn't teenagers but they were still young. My son and one of my daughters were on drugs, and my other daughter was an alcoholic. My son came home one day and he was really messed up. As he walked into the house, I was out side , I stood up and raise my hand to heaven and tears in my eyes , I said Lord, and the holy spirit spoke to me and said God Knows. And a total peace come on me, and I was not upset any more. Today my son is saved, my daughter that was an alcoholic is saved ,and my other daughter is on her way in
You know I think about that scripture that say , The prayer of a righteous man availth much. In another way of. Saying it is , the prayer of a righteous man has great power. This is so True, zGod can reach people ,and deal with their ❤. God will keep them safe , until they surrender to him. They may have to go thur some things, but you'll know God knows .praise God he is so faithful.

As a CHINESE born Christian (a very faithful one at that), I've seen my fair share of ancestral worship within my community (which I don't practice since I'm a Christian) and I do know for a fact that the Bible condemns such practices so I can understand where he's coming from. However, as a western man, I guess he's just not used to the normal practices of the Chinese (and mostly Asian) culture which places our ancestors at the top most. This practice of ancestral worship is very common in Asian households.

I agree and understand because just like in Mexican culture they do the same but in a different way. They celebrate the day of the dead which honors the dead loved ones. However, the issue is the demonic practices within these rituals of honoring like the chanting, the contact with the dead, the building altars for the dead to come back to life (Mex culture) is not biblical. So thats the main issue amongst the inappropriate contexts.

My daughter who now hates God - so she says - continuously reminds me of the things I stopped her doing, reading, watching etc. For a whole year she hated me because we didn't have Santa. Now this is amusing. I have not seen the full film yet. However, I worked at Pixar as an intern in Summer 2019. I was part of the animator department. I am sure they are all getting a kick out of the news and laughing. All I can say is, Pixar was the most life changing and amazing experience I went through when I worked there. I was living on my own for the first time ever, and living in the San Francisco Bay Area that Summer. The scenery was beautiful there. It was also filled with lots of repugnant, bad things. Unfortunately, I saw lots of thieves in stores and homeless on every street. Pixar was like a little golden puffy cloud surrounded by all of that bad. I am someone who grew up bullied, angry, and lacks trust. During the final day of the internship when the interns were saying goodbye to each other, I went into the restroom on the second floor and I almost had a mental breakdown because I did not want to leave back to boring Texas, which is where I am stuck now.
Pixar was filled with so much talent and amazing people. It felt like the super home I never had, and the only thing higher than it is Heaven. Also, the screenwriters and story artists are the ones who develop the overall story. There are over 1,000 employees. You can't blame them all if there is something you don't like about the film. It takes lots of work to create a film. Tons of hours that most people don't know about. Pixar was the greatest place I experienced in this life so far. All of the employees I met were cool. The inside of the Steve Jobs building looks like a giant playground. Kids were running around in the cafeteria during lunch hours. This is because there were hundreds of visitors there everyday. Most of them were friends or family of employees. Lots of outdoor activities and games as well. It's really not what you think unless you have been there. It's like a huge campus. But this is all I can legally say. You can see pictures of the outside area on the internet. Everyone is working there remotely now. I am currently at a game company though.😁

The whole thing of " I'm going to do what I want to do" harkens back to the 1970s of " If it feels good do it". It feeds into the world think of sexuality and that whole mess. On another note was this movie supposed to inform girls about their cycle. Mamy girls are starting as young as 10. My daughter started 1 year before I did, I started 4 years before my mother did. Many girls start with little to know information, that's a scary moment even when you know what it is. The pain can be on the same level as early labor. It is a very sad fact many parents are not teaching their children the fact of basic human bodily functions. They are relying upon the schools and the internet. Or they are so uncomfortable they wait until there is a crisis of sorts, such as an infection or pregnancy. Forgive my rant. Ignorance causes so much unnecessary pain.

I wasn't clear on why the pastor thought the topic was inappropriate. I hope that my son, now 14, is equipped to know about a monthly event that will be happening to the girls he meets. I like to think it is part of making him a more educated, knowledgeable and sensitive-to-others child.

Turn the other cheek. Mei, while understandably angry at Tyler for his bullying. She NEVER tries to return the same cruelty. She's just extremely hurt by it. Maybe she loses control about it. But she finds out that maybe just maybe, Tyler is a child like her that also needs friends in his life that love him.
Fathers are full of wisdom: Remember that it is Mei's FATHER. That plants the idea in her head that she should make HER OWN DECISION. And that idea ends up saving and honoring her family, even if it doesn't look like it at first.

Some can only see the worldly narrative of the story, but for others they can see beyond the storyline and discern what the enemy is doing, it's called *Spiritual Warfare* and they're after your kids and the next generation. Remember that the senses are the doors or portals where they can creep in. Protect yourselves, don't compromise. The mythologies and traditions and stories of old were based from real events and beings around the world in all cultures like the titans and chimera or half animal creatures. They were the *Nephilim* or Gibborim, the mighty and renown beings that ruled humans who also had knowledge and technology.
