Trying out a new coach is like drafting a QB. You never know how it will work out you go off of what you know and see and take a chance. I remember when Dan Campbell was hired by the Lions, there was a lot of talk about it being a questionable hire. He then had some goofy press conferences that had people again scratching their heads. Then they had a losing season with him at the helm the first year, again more questions. But then we saw the team playing hard despite having a bad record, you could see the changes. And then beating the Chiefs at their home on the opener and we finally saw what they would become. He ended up being the right hire, but at first, it looked dubious. Just saying, there are some questionable hires that I would say from the beginning what the hell, like Adam Gase, or when Josh McDaniels went to the Raiders, you just knew those were bad. But Glenn looks to be a solid coach, the potential is there, the problem he will have is its the Jets, historically bad.
I'm confused with the fascination over, Glenn. Lions D wasn't exactly a dominate force. Even before the injuries in the secondary it was a pass funnel. Granted that can be atttibuted to talent but also to an extent it's coachug also.
So the Lions had the worst defense in the second half of the year. They had the 28th worst pass defense last season, 2023. And they were 29th worst in giving up points the year before that, 2022. Woody Johnson: "That the type of production I look for." Hire Joe Brady away from Buffalo after he led them to the playoff in back to back years and Joe Borrow to a national chapionship? Naw. That's too good for the Jets. Hire Kliff Kingsbury, a Jets former QB who coached Patrick Mahomes in college, helped Caleb William win the Heisman trophy and led Jaden Daniels to become the rookie of the year and a conference championship appearance? Naw, that's also too good for the Jets. Hire the greatest playoff DC of all time in Spags, who could bring over Nagy as his OC? Naw, that's way, way too smart of a selection for the Jets. So what's Woody Johnson's goal? For the Jets to get the #1 pick in the draft in back to back years. So much for whoring a coach with head coaching experience.

I still just can’t get behind Defensive HCs. You need brilliant offensive minds to win in the league these days. It’s not gonna work in NY, just wait
Hahaha bears hire Johnson you and cowherd are kinda “eh” and poopoo it. Jets hire Glenn and it’s a genius hire. Frauds
Vrabel and Aaron Glenn are 2 of the most overrated HC candidates in NFL history
Hire the coach from a team that doesn't play defense. Trump got rid of DEI from the federal government, jets need to do the same
