- This video was shot on Newark Avenue and displays Jersey City Police dancing with locals in front of Laxmi Pan Center, right here in the Little India of New Jersey. Laxmi Pan Center has been known to many as one of the first pan shops to open up in the United States. The police show that while keeping the streets safe is their number one priority, it is always important to engage in and learn about the many cultures that make Jersey City the most diverse city in the country!

Kudos to the Jersey City police to be so jovial, engaging and entertaining. I lived on Van Winkle Avenue, the next street of Newark Avenue, and had a great time over there. Never felt I was out of Bombay! So many eating joints, Indian stores and yes, Laxmi Paan Bhandar! I had the privilege of having a paan over there:-)))
