    I forgot a tip you can use…a drywall sponge 🧽 wet it with water and that helps to smooth out the surface of the plaster. It’s a gem

    Hey there! Would you share a honest review of your table after 1 year of use? Did it hold well or dit it crack / chipped easily? What about the color, did it remain in this nice color or did the color from the table below started to show after a while? I'd love to do this DIY but I want to make sure I'm building something durable :)

    • @HomeByMon
      @HomeByMon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, after a year, I have to say the legs have cracked a bit. However, I don't think this would have happened if I added the mesh tape on them too, as I did for the tabletop. The tabletop is in perfect condition 🙌
      Now, for the color, I painted it and sealed it after all, since it ended up having coffee stains on it. So definitely have that in mind, if you want it to be durable, you'll have to at least protect it with a clear coat. I've seen people adding glass on top, which also looks so nice.
      Hope I helped ☺

    How does the plaster hold up to water stains, etc.?

    • @HomeByMon
      @HomeByMon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It holds well, since I ended up painting it with water resistant acrylic paint. The plaster stained so bad 🥺

    I have only one question: how do you mix you plaster?

    • @HomeByMon
      @HomeByMon  ปีที่แล้ว

      The ration for plaster:water is 1:1 however, I usually add the water first and then stir in the plaster until I like the consistency ☺️
