ive done this its fun.. i even stole voice coils and cones from a 12" speaker and sized down to a 10" speaker ..if the voice coil fits esp old jbl's jensens etc

It's a specialized speaker glue sold in stores

Dear Alfred kindly let us know which glue (black) you used, bcuz all my Coral drivers have been made using same or similar black glue & I need to repair few drivers so it will be nice to know about the black glue's pros.
You can use specialized glue sold in speaker component stores. that glue mixes with Asiton
You can use 'pitch' which is a tar based derivative and sets hard glassy OR as I have to fix the cone etc simply cyan late adhesive commonly superglue WITH care.. I've also used a ceramic paste.. 👀

Where do you get the voice coil? How do we make it ourselves? materials and calculations for 4 or 8 ohms
You can make coils but it is very time consuming. You should buy it at an electronics store

Pay attention he measures to the very botton of the voice volt pole-- lt (the woofer) WILL NOT GO DOWN IT CAN ONLY TRAVEL UP:. THIS WILL CAUSE KNOCKING AND IN VERY FEW SECONDS 1. VOICE COIL BENDS..2 VOICE COIL TRYING TO MAKE THE DOWN STROKE....CANNOT IN SECONDS WILL OVER HEAT, SUM OF WHAT I WROTE HERE 'FAIL!

This linen spider assembly will not last. It has degraded and become brittle from heat damage. This needs to be replaced during the re-coning process.

Yes, I think your adhesive is fine. The spider is not. I am a former loudspeaker engineer, and I have built and rebuilt countless amounts of loudspeaker drivers and prototypes. I have performed countless lifecycle and evaluation tests of components and complete drivers in a laboratory setting and real world placement. This spider is brittle. No type or amount of glue or adhesive at the voice coil former to spider junction will reverse the heat damage that has already occured. Further more, all of these replacement components will alter the frequency response band Thiele Small parameters of the drivers. The weight, shape, substrate, density, r and rigity of the cone, dust cap will effect everything about the driver. Sure it might make sounds, for a while but it will be different .
@@victorjbarker hey Victor I have Yamaha NS4 speakers one of the drivers woofer has separated from the voice coil. As such I am able to pull the magnet off the back. I read it might be possible to reglue? Any ideas?

That is weak it will break on heavy bass .u shud have pulled off the spider and make a tight fitting with the coil before getting it back or use a new spider that fits tight.

En el vídeo se muestra como se cambia:,la bobina y el cono,,se hace una pequeña pestaña con cartón, lo más al ras de la bobina y la membrana,ya que la membrana es más grande y el pegamento podría adherirse a la canasta, se recomiendo utilizar pegamento epóxico para uso en membrana y bobina ya que es donde hay más fuerzas y pegamento amarillo (5000),pegamento de cola o de contacto para pegar hacia la canasta,como la membrana en parte externa,cono en la orilla de canasta Y las juntas que sujetan al cono
