Right? I've got 2 IBZ 7s myself. My RG is half a step down and my custom gio 7 is down-strung in Drop F, using the thicker (.013 to .074) 7 strings of an 8-string pack.
My reason for getting a 7 string is that I wanted a baritone guitar or just one I could keep tuned that low to play death metal and doom metal, but I'm also a huge Morbid Angel fan and half their albums are in 7 string A# standard
3: Star Wars sounds Seriously use a metal rod like a violin and puch armonic or hammer on at the same time and you get wierd but cool stuff. Put that into a studio app with reverb and soundtrack❤
@Tahoe10 unironically yes, I own a 7 string because I can play in baritone tunings as well as the tuning Morbid Angel plays in, but an 8 string I just don't have much use for. I'm a big metalhead but I never got much into all the djent stuff. I wouldn't have anything I would want to write with it or much I'd want to play with it
When u combine both u get sleeptoken riffs but seriously at the end of the day play what u like but if you gonna make Music from it incorporate both it sounds more emotional in my opinion
As long as some notes are thrown in on that 2nd example otherwise all it should say is impatient metalhead guitarist who stopped at the boring stuff. No i'm not attacking the chugs lol i'm attacking the possibility of the 2nd example being a taste of said guitarist's knowledge/playstyle as a whole. Example number 2 is a perfect example of an unfinished djent metal breakdown. It can stay all chugs, but you still need structure. Within The Ruins would be a great example for those reading this with tunnel vision thinking i'm talking to the creator or their playing. I'm adressing the would be guitarist in said examples.
there are two types of extra strings guitarrists:
- normal
- djent fan
Three tbh
-normal
-Nu metal fan
-Djent fan
also you often don't need to tune down with an 8 string guitar.
@@СвятославБалакин good one

I'm a 7 String player and those 2 ways to play are just me on a Tuesday vs a Saturday.
Right? I've got 2 IBZ 7s myself. My RG is half a step down and my custom gio 7 is down-strung in Drop F, using the thicker (.013 to .074) 7 strings of an 8-string pack.
yeah so this video is about 8 strings you guys shouldn’t talk about yourselves playing 7 strings on a video not meant for that..
My reason for getting a 7 string is that I wanted a baritone guitar or just one I could keep tuned that low to play death metal and doom metal, but I'm also a huge Morbid Angel fan and half their albums are in 7 string A# standard
And somehow both are Rob Scallon
deftones. . .
rob scallon is one of the only "youtube guitarist" that doesn't want me to stab out my eyes.

Tosin and Javier are both types of 8 string guitarist
You don’t even have to mention their last names or their band and we all get it lol
@@alk3603 Right lmao. I love AAL but the idolatry, homoerotic behavior is just ridiculous.
Love Tosin and Javier
1 nice guy
2 doomslayer
Second one is quite a djentleman if I say so myself
DEATHCORE CHUGGA CHUGGA WUBBA WUBBA 000000
Stephen Carpenter has entered the chat
Literally
Him when he's playing lead behind Chino's rhythm guitar vs when he's the only one playing guitar.
Underrated 8 string player. I really like how he utilizes it for something more unusual, then just heaviness
He's the G.O.A.T. of 8 string guitars 🎉
Other 8 string guitarists: super gore nest
if u got a 8 string just to play chill songs, what are you even doing in your life
2nd one is the real shit 🙏
type 2: brutal death metal
There is only one type of 8 string players:
Rob Scallon.
a way and the correct way
The types of extra string people
-Actually good guitarist
-Chugg-A-Luggin
Ah yes, the two types of 8 string players, chill and Sleep Token
Can you give me examples of bands who play a 7 or 8 string in that chill style? Would love to hear this more often.
I can't think of many off the top of my head, but Oh Hiroshima is pretty good, tough they might use only 7 strings
Little Tybee has a goated 8 string guitarist who regularly goes for a chill not aggressive style but still extremely technically complex stuff
Unprocessed!
Look up periphery it only smiles
@RabbitWithFeathers Animals as Leaders has a bit of both, regardless they absolutely use the whole guitar
Ichika: Both. Both is good
1: Tosin Abasi on Another Year
2: Tosin Abasi on the same album, 8 tracks later
2 got me feeling some typa way
The 2th is normal 8 string guitar player
The strings going wild is accurate
Plini vs Lucas Mann. Duality of a guitarist
1. Regular ahh guitar
2. Meshuggah ahh guitar
The 3rd is technical deathcore
The second described me very well playing the guitar 💀...
*starts playing rip and tear

Put that into a studio app with reverb and soundtrack❤
Honestly, Type 2 is pretty chill to me..
First one: Rob Scallon
Second one: Y’all Already know..
I was waiting for the second part to start so badly
You’re either:
1.) Chill player
2.) Mick Gordon
type 3: Portal (australia) grimy tremollo
100% if i owned an 8 string I would use it to play DOOM soundtrack songs and Meshuggah and thats literally it
@Tahoe10 unironically yes, I own a 7 string because I can play in baritone tunings as well as the tuning Morbid Angel plays in, but an 8 string I just don't have much use for. That second well fits me perfectly
Is that the rg8? I'm looking to buying it , is it comfortable to play without multiscale?
i would prefer if it was multiscale with better pickups but if its ur first 8 string it works fine
Oh yes the 0s 🌚

gen z when they hear generic djent:
Tosin Abasi is like two types at the same time
Basically Rob Scallon vs most death metal players
Rob Scallon vs Rob Scallon
So normal and Mick Gordon? Got it

Number 2. Sounds like Rob Scallon.

2. Doom Slayer Fan
Literally in the same song, com on.
3. Sonic Frontiers Boss Themes (yes, this is 8-string too)
Most metal 8 string players just need to buy a 2 string bass with distortion. Nobody can tell the difference.
3rd type: the one who plays it as a bass
Cool man!!!!!
I love metal but damn do nice clean melodies hit diff on extended range guitars
He's not wrong.
I like the second guy way more
