I was going through my old knitted items and found this stitch that I used to do all the time, it was my favourite! After all these decades I seemed to had forgotten it, but with the help of your video it all came rushing back to me. Thank you!
El mejor tutorial que he encontrado, sin ningún género de duda. Muchísimas gracias por tu paciencia y por saber enseñar tan bien. From Spain, thank you very much. 😘
👏🏻👏🏻🤩💯🏆🥳🎉😍 Thank you sooo much for this fantastic video! I love the honeycomb stitch, but have been doing it in Tunisian crochet. I’m very eager to try it now with knitting!!
Hi! Love this video❤ made it easy for me to understand and remember- finally! Do you have a video or tips on increasing/decreasing in honeycomb brioche pattern?
can this be done for a sweater (jumper ) iif so do you have a video of how to knit a jumper using this pattern please l like the look of this but would like to make a sweater using this pattern thank you for sharing just learning how to knit
LOVE your explanation, it's so clear and easy to follow. The trick is so catchy! Now I am knitting this patern in two colors in the flat. Do you have a trick for this as well. I keep getting lost which row I am knitting.
As requested, I've uploaded a new video on the slipped hourglass stitch. It's a long one, but I timestamped the rows, in case it's a particular row you're struggling with.
It appears that you are knitting through the back loop (TBL) on the set-up row, through the front loop on the second row, and that all your slipped stitches are slipped purlwise (PW). I think it would help if you describe that as you describe the knitting process.
Great instructions but I'm doing it in the round & it's not working. Would u follow exact instructions in the round? The increase rows might be the problem or both.
Mostly yes. I would finish it during a WS row, not making any new YO, and still knit the existing YO and next stitch together. If you finish during a RS row, and knit and bind/cast off the YO, you'll end up binding/casting off more stitches than you've casted on, creating a very wide, and funny looking edge. And no one wants that.
I'm doing a scarf with this pattern and technique, could ypu tell me why my left border is different from the right one and how I can fix it? Thank you!
Potentially? I've been knitting for +15 years, so I've just naturally gotten fast. If the video is too fast, you can adjust the play speed to slower. If you're a new knitter, the speed you should be knitting is whatever speed you feel comfortable with. Knitting is slow fashion, it's not a race. Enjoy the craft
Yes! You can find them in the description box of this tutorial. But here they are again: Set up row (WS): K1, *K1, YO, Sl1*, K1 Row 1 (RS): K2, slip YO,K2 Row 2 (WS): K1, *YO, Sl1, knit YO and next stitch together*, K1 Row 3 (RS): K1, *K2, slip YO*, K1 Row 4 (WS): K1, *knit YO and next stitch together, YO, Sl1*, K1
I'm not knitting through the back loop, though I do understand why it looks like this. I've discovered that when knitting, I might wrap my yarn in the other direction than most knitters do, so my stitches are place in mirror image on my needle. So when I do 'my' regular knit stitch, I might look like I'm knitting through the back loop, but you just do a normal knit stitch. It took me over a decade to find out that I'm doing this, so the habit is very strong, and it's difficult to try and wrap my yarn the other way than I'm used to. I hope I didn't just confuse you more 🙂

Do you have a video tutorial on how to go back on this stitch if you make a mistake

Glad to hear the trick helps :-) hmm, for two colours? I'll have to figure that one out myself first. I'll add it to my list of tutorial ideas
Thanks very much good reminder
Great video!
Please can you do a tutorial on slipped hourglass stitch?
Please. I'm so confused

Looks like your setup row k1 is actually knit 1 thru the back loop?
It uses the combination of the brioche stitch by looks of it
How beautiful thankyou 😊😊❤❤
How do you finish the project is it just like a normal finish and slipping old stitch over the new stitch?
Mostly yes. I would finish it during a WS row, not making any new YO, and still knit the existing YO and next stitch together. Are you doing the scarf solely in this stitch?
Yes, only this stitch and the left edge is a bit weird, I thought about doing purl in the last stitch, but it is still the same result.
I am a new knitter! are you doing a speed knitting style of knitting?
Potentially? I've been knitting for +15 years, so I've just naturally gotten fast. If the video is too fast, you can adjust the play speed to slower. It's knitting into the back not ordinary K1.
Lovely. Thank you!
Stocking stitch
♡♡♡ STUNNING ♡♡♡
Do you have written instructions for this
Yes! You can find them in the description box of this tutorial. But here they are again:
Set up row (WS):
K1, *K1, YO, Sl1*, K1
Row 1 (RS):
K2, slip YO,K2
Row 2 (WS):
K1, *YO, Sl1, knit YO and next stitch together*, K1
Row 3 (RS):
K1, *K2, slip YO*, K1
Row 4 (WS):
K1, *knit YO and next stitch together, YO, Sl1*, K1
