I have probably commented before, but I wanted to say that this is the best video for the honeycomb stitch I have ever seen. I think I've seen them all!

This is the best honeycomb brioche tutorial I have seen so far. I also see you have one for working in the round, it's perfect! Thank you so much!

This is great - so brilliantly and simply explained. At long last I can get myself started on a brioche project with enthousiasm rather than foreboding. I have easily followed the video and done my first few rows - now there will be no stopping me !!!! Thank you, thank you Maryna 🥰🥰🥰🥰

I watched many honeycomb brioche stitch videos and have finally found the best one!! It's packed with so many wonderful tips in such a short video. Especially the trick to do yarn over faster is mind blowing! I've been a knitter for 10 plus years but never knew the trick. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Thank you! Super easy to follow and thank you for including the salvage stitches! That’s how I learnt and it drives me nuts when they are not included and I get so confused! 😅❤❤

Hello! First of all, THANKS so much for your videos! I discovered your channel recently and, even if I've been knitting for a few years now, there's always things to learn and you helped me a lot :D I love this stitch, but I'm looking for a way to neatly decrease (for a beanie project, for example) - I managed to improvise one, but it shapes the project more as a beret than a regular shaped hat :)) So, if you have any tips, it would be much appreciated. Thank you again!

Thank you for the kind words, my friend. I'm really glad that you find my tutorials helpful :-)
As to decreases in the honeycomb brioche pattern, it is better to use the same method as we use when we make decreases in the regular brioche pattern. Here's a tutorial that explains how to do it - www.10rowsaday.com/brioche-decreases Decreases won't be invisible, but they will look nice.
If the crown shaping resembles a beret, that means that the shaping is too steep. Make fewer decreases in a decreasing row and work more rows between the decreasing rows. Good luck :-)

    You can make it easier
Row1: *Knit one, knit next below*
Row 2: *Knit next stitch along with the strand from the knit below, k 1*
    Row 3: *k1b, k1*
Row 4: *k1, k1with strand from knit below*
The rows are the same but offset.

Thank you for sharing another way to do this stitch. I don't know if it would be when I'm watching a movie at the same time as I'm knitting. I'd have trouble with the k1b if I wasn't actually looking at my knitting 😀

@@Me_Ewe_and_Yarn_Cheryl I do it all the time watching tv, and usually with a parrot on each shoulder.
Instead of going into the stitch itself, you go into the Purl loop below. On the next row, look for the yarn lying between the previous and the next stitch, it might be buried. Once you do a couple of rows, it will be so easy. You only have to do almost real brioche when you do 2 colour honeycomb or honeycomb in the round.

This is another great way to make honeycomb brioche. I prefer the slip-stitch method because going into a strand below could be a bit confusing, especially for less experienced knitters. Slipping a stitch and making a yarn over is more straightforward. That being said, it is always good to have options, so thank you for sharing an alternative way to create the same gorgeous texture.
