Chadanie thank you for doing this wonderful video. It highlights the way the Muslims of Guyana cook which is very rich and unique. My Mom and her family and my paternal grandmother were masters at Guyanese Muslim cuisine - the keer, sahwi, gulab Jamon, mithai, curries, and the most unique Pilou rice. When the Indian spices and wheat flour were banned these special way of cooking did not get filtered down to the rest of Guyana. The Muslim community is only about 12% of the population in Guyana so not ubiquitous as the Hindu way of cooking. Now this is great to see the Guyanese Muslim cooking. Masha Allah

Yes, you are missing the point. It's not commercialization, it's bringing AWARENESS and APPRECIATION among the general public about Ramadan. Also, we do have Masjids, but the Village was created to offer a unique opportunity for all Guyanese to experience the spiritual ambience of Ramadan. It's a beautiful thing when you stand there and hear the Call to Prayer...it speaks to your soul. Hope this helps!
