I was there seeing this truly remarkable athlete; surely one of the three best long distance runners ever! At this moment he was the second fastest 10000m runner ever, the fastest marathon runner ever (Rotterdam, 1984) and olympic champion at this distance and with this victory three times world cross country champion. Beautiful mover, always depending on himself at every race. An amazing athlete and sportsman. I'm very proud to be his compatriot!
After 30yold our bodies start to loose natural abilities, we loose muscle mass, our body dont recover fast, bone pain start to occur. this guy with 38y old doing such a cross race leaving youngers behind at such an high pace.. Unbelieveble. A mix between talent, genetic predisposition and hard training.
