Videos on Cyberpunk would be great. After running through some practice combat with my friends, I realized I didn't have as good a grasp on the rules as I thought.
I am fascinated personally by the system, I was a bit daunted when I read it but thanks to this series of videos (and really only because of this) I am able to jump right into playing the game. I also would love to see more examples of the different forms of combat and also examples of game management (I'm my groups usual DM/GM). It's a very fun system though and I am incredibly impressed by it. Because I liked this video and because I really like the game when I saw it on the shelves of my local game store, I went ahead and bought five copies of it. Gave four of them out as presents to the rest of my group, and they are smitten as hell with it. I really am excited for the next book to come out! Sorry if I am gushing. I am just very happy with it. And I am even more happy to break out of my usual 5e D&D D20 system fare.
I gotta say, I really like some of the changes from cyberpunk to this game. It’s a bit more streamlined and feels like it’s own thing! There’s always the worry of a licensed game just being a cheap reskin of a generic game engine, but this really feels like wither. Especially once you get into crafting and loot! Makes be look forward to maybe seeing an updated version of cyberpunk with some of these quality of life improvements to the gameplay ^^
Agreed! I began running The Witcher while waiting for Cyberpunk Red and I have been pleased with how it was put together. In many ways it feels like a blending of the best aspects of 2013 and 2020 rules, while removing as many of their worst aspects as possible. Between this, and the Cyberpunk Red Jumpstart, I am very excited to see what RTG has done for the latest iteration of my favorite game. By the way, I have been Refereeing Cyberpunk since I bought my original box set back in 1989.
Thank you very much. :) As a GM, this helps me alot. But I have one question, what's about the Attack Modifiers like Target immobile or Target dodging? When do I have to add them?
Thanks for the tutorial! These videos are an awesome idea, keep it up! And I also support the idea of making Cyberpunk videos, especially when Cyberpunk Red comes out!
Please help me figure it out. I can’t find the answer to the question: does the armor of monsters decrease when you successfully attack them? And if it decreases, is it the entire body, or only the part of the body that was hit??
A question about the combat system. In one turn, can I make two fast strikes then spend 3 STA and make two more fast strikes? Can I make one strong attack in one turn then spend 3 STA and make another strong attack? Please answer me. There is a lot of controversy in our company about this, and we do not find the exact answer in the rulebook.
he explained when you do a strong attack the damage is doubled before being reduced by armor. Location damage multipliers are applied to damage after it is reduced by armor
Hello, I don't find in the rulebook where it is written that NPC can not use the fast/strong attacks. And also the order of computing damage (firstmultiply for strong attck, then substractarmor, then halmve or double or triple for location), where is it written please ?
Hey man, thinking about running a "Single" player campaign with just me but need a GM. One day want to do a collaboration video series on The Witcher Pen And Paper RPG? I got an email if you'd like to discuss this idea more! Also great tutorial by the way!
No this is just a small example map, maps can be as big or as small as you want as well as the grids can be considered a standard 5 feet or bigger if your trying to simulate armies on a map
I had high hopes, I'm a Witcher fanatic - but this is such a bloated system. I have the "easy mode" RPG Day PDF, and I was hoping that the video flow the rules a little better. Nope. Can you imagine GM'ing this game? One encounter w/ multiple combatants would take hours. Glad I checked it out before I purchased the book!
I don`t get why it should take THAT long. Be creative, use the system, modify it for several fighters, lower their stats to make it quicker if it`s a filler fight. Don`t expect the book to do everything for you, this is not d&d.
I have already run combat with the full version of the game, with five players, and it doesn't take hours. Anyone familiar with Cyberpunk 2013 or 2020 should have no problem adapting to this. People not familiar with Cyberpunk should be able to pick up on it pretty fast. It flows quite well, it makes for some intense battles, and once everyone became familiar with the setting specific elements it became very easy to negotiate. As I said before, this game really plays very much like Cyberpunk.
This is really helpful since I have to teach this to all my friends and GM it as a first time playing

Look for one soon!

Now I can see a big picture of how the combat system goes. Thanks!

I love this game nad i always reccomend it in the store i work on💕 can`t wait for the supplements to come out!
I saw Videya Witcher 1-3, DLC, plus Netflix. I considered buying the TTRPG in 2022, though I have been chewing it for a year. It looks very different.

Is it correct that you can do these three types of actions every round or can I only do one of them in one round???
The first attack reduced damage by armor then doubled, the second attack doubled then reduced by armor.
Which is it, that is a huge difference.

I still have the same question... and the standard DC for an attack too, where do I find the info?

Is grid 8x6 standard grid for combat map?

French subtitles please :D

Mate, volume. Raise it
Nice video... but the choice of type font is reeeeeeaally bad. The lowercase "w" looks like an "n". Sorry, it's an OCD thing :(
So the game is a butchering when the band of bandits attack a reduced number of pg. sounds realistic and a butchering.
Whew...cronchy system
Any other D&D refugees here? LOL
