I would kinda equate this idea to how liquid flows easier down paths it has already taken.... Like our stream and river system. They will continue to flow easier and easier down the same path... leaving a deeper and deeper impression... and they wont change until something extreme has occurred to change the flow.

@bryphi77 Thank you, that's an excellent example, helpful to understand the nature of imprints through generations, and even through incarnations. Most parents make sure their child perceives the world through their programming, for every parent thinks about their child "When you just see it in this way, you're safe".
Parents want their child to be safe, but in doing so they bypass the unique nature of the child. It longs to see the world with its own eyes and hear with its own ears. Usually, and hopefully, it manages to do just that at an older age. It's called "coming into one's own" Isn't it? Puberty may be this attempt to break free from it.

I have been doing my own healing for over 40 years mostly for my own benefit. This has has also included ancestral for many years. Many amazing things have happened totally spontaneously over the years. Today as I listened to this talk something that has been bothering me for some time regarding my son was made very clear as to which ancestor is related to. I know that he may have other things that he himself needs to deal with. My mother died 40 years ago next month and I have been giving a lot of thought about getting a Mass said for her also including my father and my late husband in the Mass. I'm now going to include the ancestor who I think is affecting my son. Thanks to this talk this information has somehow come to "light "

I'm quite an intuitive person and most of the things that come to "light" or I hear something said and I know it's important. I'm also very fortunate in knowing a lot about my ancestors and also spend time in a place where I am connected to family land. As I said I am getting a Mass said for my Mother but the only day I could get the Mass was on my Grandmother's anniversary which is the day after my mother's. The ancestor I referred to is my Grandmother's brother who was never spoken about and I see that as a confirmation. I hope 🙏 this has been helpful.

Heres one for ya: when I was a child I noticed my pet jack Russell had an extreme dislike to having a toy gun pointed at him. The gun did not fire projectiles. My conclusion is that the dog was either clever enough to understand the concept of a fire arm or had some ancestral memory of actual guns. The reason I believe the latter to be true is because of how quickly dogs reach breeding maturity. It means hundreds of generations of dogs have existed since guns were common place, whereas only several generations of humans could claim potential ancestral memory in comparison

From electron spin experiments preformed long ago and described by Einstein as a Spooky force to Animals who know when there human masters are about to come home. The crystalization rate example raises some possibilities:
    1) We are the first species to ever synthesize these chemicals. Given our moderate level of sophistication that would imply we are alone or the first intelligent species. Both seem to be low odds and would be disappointing.
    2. The MR field attenuates through spacetime. Most established fields have this characteristic so that seems more likely. Even if other species have done this before, their distance diminishes any effect here. Is the rat/water experiment effect affected by distance from the original training?
    3. Interaction with consciousness could be an amplifier. We could test this. If one man or machine constantly synthesizes a crystal for a year, with large yield, what is the curve like compared with the synthesis being reported in a journal than repeated by other chemists, then adopted by manufacturing at scale? All those people working on the same problem may (or may not) impact the change in rate.

re teachng a skill: i found over a period of six years that teaching art (ie drawing and watercolour painting) to adults became harder, not easier. The missing ingredients in later classes seemed to be patience, respect and a willingness to actually learn something on a topic they already felt so familiar with (from watching artists at work on TV.) that the teacher seemed almost redundant. So i stopped teaching....it didn't pay much anyway. The final humiliation was being offered a ''food voucher'' instead of money. Perhaps we need a study on why art teachers (in senior citizen centres) are now a lowly type of life, no matter how skilled and experienced we may be... well anyway, now i have more time to listen and learn from Rupert et al!

Such that they rise and fall in similar patterns - like individual organisms being born, growing up and finally moving into senescence. And, barring direct interference, they do this predictably but independently of other civilisations.
Is MR the glue that causes the internal coherence? And is MR the "force" that causes civilisations to follow the same path over and over again?

The last two books I have read are about Mary Baker Eddy who founded Christian Science one book for her and one against. Baker Eddy believed that if you got your thoughts right you could walk the same path as Jesus by connecting the Christ within. Along with Emerson and others, this philosophy was dubbed New Thought. I have to say from my own experiences that I come down on the side of Baker Eddy she was viciously attacked and denigrated because the establishment considered her a threat to the status quo. She experienced telepathy and healing was critical of spiritualism and was not a fan of mesmerism not because it did not work but because it did and she claimed people were using it to attack her on the physical, mental and psychological levels. Had she known of morphic resonance I am sure she would have accepted that it exists.

It seems to me that we have, in the evolution of scientific thought, witnessed a gradual but relentless conflation of concepts once deemed to be entirely different and separate, coming to be viewed instead as different forms or facets of one-and-the-same thing, for instance, heat and light, space and time, etc. On hearing this excellent talk, I couldn't help think that, via the theory of morphic resonance, we are perhaps witnessing yet another fundamental conceptual conflation, namely that of memory and consciousness...

Interestingly the shaman turned from a young woman into a crone (hair from black to snow white, no teeth, deep furrowed wrinkles) and spoke in an ancient she doesn't know outside of her trance state. What's also interesting is that all through the night after the ceremony, I "dreamt" (more like half awake) of thousands of old people, men women two by two coming before me smiling and holding their hands prayer like, bowing to me. Also they wore clothing that I identified years later as the old traditional apparel in that area of S.E. Asia. Morphic resonance explains this strange experience.

Rupert Sheldrake is a British former scientist (very former, as in not doing science any more) who, since the 1980s, has preferred to promote his own pet theory of everything called "morphic resonance". Sheldrake believes that "memory is inherent in nature" and that "natural systems, such as termite colonies, or pigeons, or orchid plants, or insulin molecules, inherit a collective memory from all previous things of their kind", and that this "morphic resonance" also explains "telepathy-type interconnections between organisms". Unsurprisingly, nobody in science takes Sheldrake seriously. However, he has written several books targeted at the general public.
One can group Sheldrake's claims about phenomena caused by "morphic resonance" into two broad categories:
The first category includes real phenomena such as biological heredity, animal and plant development and behaviour - Sheldrake thinks the scientific theories that real scientists have developed to explain these are incorrect because they can't explain everything in detail, or at least because he doesn't understand them.
The second group are phenomena which (almost) certainly don't exist outside of Sheldrake's imagination - namely various parapsychological claims involving memory, telepathy, perception and cognition - particularly psychic dogs.
Most of Sheldrake's ideas are clearly pseudoscientific nonsense. Morphic resonance is extremely vague and ill-defined, and can only really be described as whatever Sheldrake says it is. Crucially, it is not falsifiable, and therefore not testable (although some have tried).
Sheldrake's 2012 book, The Science Delusion, is an anti-scientific rant in which he applies postmodernist hyperscepticism to conventional science, accusing mainstream scientists of adhering to "scientific dogmata", such as the constancy of the speed of light. Ironically, Sheldrake fails to apply any sort of scepticism to his own ideas, which he promotes uncritically, despite there being no evidence for them.

    • @SeattleCoorain
      @SeattleCoorain ปีที่แล้ว

Fine... you either haven't read the large body of his science articles ... or haven't bothered to critically asses them ... or both.
I am by disposition, a very technical and skeptical person by and large which is why I have studied Dr. Sheldrake's body of work in depth since he first came to my attention in (16) hours of extended interviews on a Dutch science program: "A Glorious Accident - 1994" which also featured: Freeman Dyson, Oliver Sacks, Stephen Jay Gould, Daniel Dennent, Stephen Toulmin. All these gentlemen including Sheldrake made compelling logical arguments in round-table debate format. Have read a number of critical reviews of Sheldrake's work if soundly reasoned, unlike your rant. Most of us ignore unsupported claims and conjuncture such as yours, weighed against decades of a scientist's extensively documented work, until there is even a hint of a well supported argument. So far in your case none is evident, but you should be given the opportunity to present it.
Sheldrake in fact, is a real scientist and has been for decades, likely longer than you have been exhaling Co2 adding to the atmosphere's carbon overburden. He was the youngest chair of micro-biology at Cambridge. Rupert's work in partnership with a research colleague, was pioneering research in plant biochemistry that is still a significant part of the accepted view 40+ years later in many plant biochemical pathways.
You claim or imply you are in a unique position to evaluate Dr. Sheldrake as a scientist by dint perhaps of your own great scientific achievements and/or notable research. If so please enlighten us all: citing the journals, publication dates, article titles. How many times have your foundational scientific explorations been cited or peer reviewed in journal articles ? You might be a guiding light in your field, if so, enlighten us all.

Other organisms in nature are like that, the plants produce chemicals to attract critters that can help it survive, self preserving natural intelligence. And we have been thought that nature is economical, and self-sustainable, all materials might be used for something beneficial to someone/something.
If there is a catastrophic weather cycle at the doorstep we would dig ourselves into the ground not minding the untouchable ecosystems till the megaflares have striken and the meteors have fallen.
And if it was in our genes from previos weather cycles experiences that it will happen again, we would risk industrialisation and prioritise truth seeking science and source exploitation technologies and systems to build plasma canons to dig our shelters in the rocks in time for the next catastrophic weather cycle. And maybe we would be even so silly(otherwise too kind a word), to play pharmacy, that would preserve us even though for a short life span, just so long so we would preserve the species in time when there is no/scarce access to natural biodiversity on the platter.
This family field reading reminiscent of aura reading, where there are opinions, convictions beliefs, that the healer would then clear from the aura, or bringing it to the light of awareness and then deciding if it's unusable to let it go/avoid it and choose somethig that we can use for the purpose of optimization in health/respect/love.
That story from ancient Egypt sounds like a weather cycle, due to changes some pests come out due to drought or another weather/earth change pheomena, maybe even diminishing human population so there would be more food left for the the ruling survivors. Horrible.
Christmas tree is reminiscent of nomadic lifestyle coming upon a winter hardy apple tree, white snow around the tree with a few ripe apples it's a holiday for the human immune system, the organism is happy to consume phytonutrients.
And the uplifting celebratory high culture eases our optimization.
Mindfully meditative At One with Oneself Here Now One has access to all the skills and knowledge One needs.
morphic field, electric magnetic / EM field, aura auric field, dougherty set /birkleand currents everything is electricity/energy

Cannot believe I have not heard this lecture before... dude gets it in ways I have not seen. Memories, it's western and not, computers recall information from a hard drive with just a few zeros and ones and they reach down to an external entity beyond the motherboard, pull it up either whole or compressed, decompress it then it can be viewed by the front brain and mind. However, eternal is eternal, but in ways we don't get yet. Because our universe may not be eternal and running on a fixed timeliness quantitatively does not mean Eternal does not exist, in fact, it may be proof of the Eternal. What if our universe is a probability matrix created by an eternal of whatever make up for reasons currently beyond us. And we have been breaking human science laws since we started declaring they exist. This is outstanding.

When will development biology begin to correlate data about reincarnation and memories of past lives into their studies? Our biology and families from past lives also greatly affect our subsequent lives. I have no evidence of Native American legacy in my family tree, but when I meet Native Americans and participate in their traditional rituals, waves of nostalgia wash over me. I often have met people I know I have know before, even though I've never met them before in this lifetime. Science misses the forest for the trees if they continue to ignore this kind of phenomena.

I resonate with outsiders. Harry Haller's types. Steppenwolves. So, if there's morphic resonance there's also a counter force in the field which aims to disrupt the traditional form. Like the World Economic Forum and Wokism is trying to disrupt all previous civilizational forms by trans forming everything in their trans humanist agenda. And this attempts aren't new neither. So, there are resonances and counter resonances. Tradition and Year Zero.

The hundredth monkey effect is a hypothetical phenomenon in which a new behavior or idea is spread rapidly by unexplained means from one group to all related groups once a critical number of members of one group exhibit the new behavior or acknowledge the new idea. I think the agreement with and of the new idea among that group is key as well, the stronger the agreement the faster it is accepted and duplicated by the group.

Not sure if anyone can answer these questions, or if Rupert has already answered them.
    - What came first after the big bang, the field or the material realm? Because these fields had to become solidified over time, it seems like Rupert is suggesting that matter came first then the fields.
    - If we are a collective aggregate of the fields of morphic resonance, doesn't this hold the same view as the materialistic reductionist? Only instead of being an aggregate of matter we are an aggregate of fields.

Arising out of this are so many questions like, Is this related to why shamanic traditions always talk about spirits of nature, like spirits of that woods, or that group of animals etc., could this be an example of the shaman tuning into morphic resonance. Could hauntings be explained by morphic resonance? Does psychic phenomena relate to this. I would love to know more about this. Many African religions include honouring the ancestors, could this be arising from an awareness of this resonance and finding methods to ritually tap into it. I suspect so. I will be monitoring this to see if others post links to studies on these topics.

But the Muslim "Lord's prayer" that is a part of every "unit" of every prayer, thus min of 17 times a day concludes with "guide us to the straight path. The oath of those upon whom you have bestowed Thy Grace. Not that if those upon whom are anger nor those who are astray"
... other than than that there are a number of other ritualistic components and formulas, plus areas for personalization.
Any way ... if he was going to talk about prayer and the ritual of prayer and its relationship to Morphic Resonance, then a well traveled educated man like him leaving out nearly 2 billion Muslims, the by far largest and most regular practitioners of a single unified prayer ritual on the planet ... well, that strikes me as deliberate and willful ... and even lacking of integrity in this instance which I never expected. Makes me think there is a personal reason for it.
PS: that is not to mention world wide fasting on Ramadan (again in a couple of months) with night prayers, and an annual pilgrimage with set rituals. Millions every year. And festivals. I could go on.

So, has anyone thought about this from a perspective of non linear time? I keep hearing "past" and "future" being used in a sort of linear way, as if time was a thing that exists linearly...but it isn't. Time is a concept, not a real thing. It can't be measured. We measure what we percieve as rates of change, however Time isn't a thing that can be grasped through measurement, as it isn't physical, nor does it manifest in any way that can be actually measured.
Time is an idea we have created as a result of how we use memory. But it isn't real. So, has it been thought to reframe MR without the time variable?
I ask this because it is possible to map a wave without using the time variable, As a structure that exists in all of its possible forms instantaneously. This is what the wave equation is, technically. But you can formulate that equation with no loss in information without time. People just don't do that generally because it doesn't seem useful.

A good scientist will not let his (dis)belief in God influence what theories (s)he is willing to accept, unlike what Rupert claims.
There are a number of characteristics to a good scientific theory: It needs to (1) be precise, and (2) be consistent, both internally (no contradictions within the theory) and externally (no contradictions with what is observed in experiments). Further, (3) the theory needs to give us new insight into nature: a model that is not restrictive enough, in other words, a model that can be "bent" to fit every situation (even situations that we don't observe), does not explain anything.
As far as I can see (I didn't read his books, and gave up after watching 20 minutes of his talk), Rupert's theory fails on all three points: There are WAY too many alternative explanations to his arguments, and all of his "evidence" is only anecdotal. He needs to make it more precise, so that it can be verified, then do repeatable experiments, make sure there are no alternative explanations, and I will be convinced.
Don't get me wrong: I truly am open to wild alternative theories, but I demand proof. For instance, there was an experiment that proved that highly advanced meditators respond to random stimuli up to one second *before* the stimuli occur. The paper is called "Electrocortical activity prior to unpredictable stimuli in meditators and non-meditators". This is a highly unexpected result and points to "something more". So I truly want to encourage people to do more (real) research, but also to remain skeptical.

Chairs are not self-organising. But the mind-state of conceiving and designing them arises from the human condition. Which does have morphic resonance and so does its various mind-states. Surely. no? I can't see how non-self organisation represents a lack of morphic resonance. It seems like a strange, materialistic imposition.

    • @cmanpatrick
      @cmanpatrick 2 ปีที่แล้ว

For example, many inventions are often invented at the same time - across vast distances (the light bulb i believe). The thought-forms have the morphic resonance, the mental states have the morphic resonance, and thus by proxy, the inanimate 'non-self-organising' items inherit the qualities of items which do posess morphic resonance. Do chairs not pop up all over the world? Do their designs not match each other within temporary stylistic norms? I'm really struggling to see the diference between something collecting itself and drawing upon a morphic field ... vs something being collected by a human who is drawing upon a morphic field. And I would argue that to say there's a difference is a contradiction.

    • @cmanpatrick
      @cmanpatrick 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Perhaps one answer is that morphic fields can represent containers - larger stronger fields - within which smaller fields can exist. The field of the chair, just like the field of the skilful manipulation of the snowboard as a creative expression, lies within the morphic-container of the human collective subconscious. Why bother drawing the distinction?

  • @theomnisthour6400

Self-organization without free will is BORG-organization. Both are active in nature. The evolving laws of physics and chemistry make well-defined soul vehicles less interesting for those inclined to creation. New, more creative, soul vehicles are the next god species. That's why humanity was created and recreated so many times. I’ve been practicing this precise lens regarding tuning into my own personal infinite morphic field in my own life for the last few years. As a musician who only became one because of my deep love for how music allows me to transcend time and space, even for 3 minutes, I was naturally attracted to this idea of resonance. Now applying this same concept of “resonance” towards my own thoughts have shown dramatic changes in my life. I imagine my thought world as a collection of radio stations in the morphic field around me.
What thoughts and future visions I choose to focus on or “resonate” with is the equivalent of simply choosing what radio station of the mind I desire to listen to. Negative, anti life, discordant thoughts represent some stations on the dial and they are a necessary part of the spectrum of experience here. Becoming more aware of my ability to choose the station was a revelation.
Now I tune into the life affirming thoughts, be it love for myself, love for all others, gratitude for all life, gratitude for experience, and a deep resonance with the infinite plane of energy, which cannot be created or destroyed, which includes all of our own energetic selves.
I’ve overcome addiction, healed old injuries, eliminated perceived shame and discordant frequencies of childhood abuse memories. I have begun recording new music with the intention to extend this energy outward to continue to progress in self healing. I believe we are all very powerful and infinite expressions of life energy that is UN-destroyable and indestructible. The sooner one allows this infinite concept in, the sooner the transformation of energy begins, as it will now emit from the infinite field you already resonate with BUT has been hidden by illusory finite field of scarcity and illusory “death” that has been an idea propagated through time by lower vibrational fields, including collective groups who understand the concept and use it for control purposes and mass manipulation via deception of perception (ie any religion or organization or mass media conglomerate, including social tribal beliefs propagating control or insinuating one has been born “wrong” or “incomplete” and must be “corrrected” or “completed” through some kind of proprietary “atonement” through hierarchy)
The ONLY thing that must be corrected is perception of infinite self. The 🔑 is to tune into your infinite self. The more each individual tunes into this infinite plane, perhaps the infinite resonance collectively also begins entrainment. ♾
