    Oh wow! I love Le Creuset so much. I haven’t moved out from my parents’ place yet but as soon as I discovered this brand, I just had to start collecting. I have 8 bowls, 4 breakfast sized and 4 small ones. I want to add ramekins, salt & pepper mills and other types of tableware later on!! Can’t get enough of it 😹

    • @HelloLaurenYouTube
      @HelloLaurenYouTube  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You're off to a good start! Based on what colors you like, I bet you could find things at an outlet mall and pay a bit less. You have some fun collecting ahead of you once you have a place! I also started before I got my first house and stashed stuff at my parents' house. I figured if I waited too long to get things I really liked (mainly for the pink items) I might not find them later on.

    This video is a bit older, so it's possible someone has already mentioned this, but the different between Pink Chiffon and Shell Pink is that Shell pink is a white to pink ombre and Pink Chiffon is a solid pink color. Solid colors can sometimes be an indicator that a colorway was a straight to outlet color, though not always.

    • @HelloLaurenYouTube
      @HelloLaurenYouTube  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes the shell pink's ombre is easier to distinguish from some of the solid shades, for sure. I don't have any in that color but it's lovely!

    I love your collection! From what I've learned online, Cocotte is just the french word for a Dutch oven, and the multiple color names on one box are because Le Creuset markets their products with different color names in different countries!

    I really like that pink.
    My 20 skillet has a phenolic knob that is a strange shape. It's signed Le Creuset and it's shaped like a Dairy Queen sign. Hope it's not fake.

    My soon to be mother in law has been wanting these for years but never made the plunge. I am currently slowly building my ideal kitchen and have put these on my list of items to look for while thrifting. I may eventually buy them new but not at that point in life yet lol.

    Girl I am SO envious of your beautiful collection!!! I am so late to the Le Creuset game, I saw a light pink Le Creuset on Pinterest years ago and was convinced that was going to be my first piece from them, and now that I’m finally ready to buy I’m realizing it’s super hard to find pink pieces 😂 whoops! Great video ❤️

    • @HelloLaurenYouTube
      @HelloLaurenYouTube  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! Oh my gosh, I know how that goes. You’re ready to get the things you’ve been dreaming of and they’re nowhere to be found. If cookware isn’t easy to find I’d imagine you might be able to get a little bakeware at least at Home Goods or TJ Maxx come springtime. I’ve also found it helpful to join a LC fan group on Facebook because people post their outlet mall finds and some of those stores are willing to ship. Good luck in your search!

    I love your pink Le Creuset!!! 😍 You’ve inspired me to start collecting pink pieces. Too bad I’m super late to the party and pink pieces are very hard to find. If you want to get more pink pieces, try calling around to various LC outlet stores. Since it’s October “Pink” month, I’ve been able to get some more pink pieces like a 2.75 quart Dutch oven, canisters, spatulas, baking dishes and salt and pepper mills. LC Outlet stores will ship anywhere in the US for a small shipping fee. Good luck and happy shopping! 🛍

    • @HelloLaurenYouTube
      @HelloLaurenYouTube  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for that tip about October!! I'll be sure to look around. Being in a LC group on Facebook helps too because people share what's at their outlets. I'm so glad I gave you the little push you needed to start collecting. :) If it makes you happy, go for it. I think you got great stuff so far!

    I love your collection. My first Le Creuset piece was an orange (now they call it Flame) square grill pan. I now have 3 pots in different sizes in cherry. If you don’t have one already, I highly recommend their grill pan. It’s great for indoor bbq.

      @HelloLaurenYouTube  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I got a round grill pan (pink of course) and I like it, but feel like it doesn't clean well. Maybe I just need to get the hang of it. Is your grill pan still holding up ok? I bet your cherry pots all look great together.

    I love your collection!! Le Creuset makes several shades of pink. Chiffon Pink, Hibiscus, and Bon Bon are all the same shade. I think they use a different name depending on the country. But they also make Shell Pink, Satin Pink, Sugar Pink, Ombre Pink, Rose, Mauve Pink, and Berry. I may have missed some, but those are the ones I know of. I have the 4.5qt and 2.5qt Sakura dutch ovens in white with the Pink flowers and they are beautiful! They also make a Pink Sakura pot. I think all the shades of pink you have go perfectly together. Enjoy your collection!!

      *GettingmyMACon,* I'm collecting the Cerise (not "Cherise") pieces, too, but it started by accident in my case. I thought my first Le Creuset Dutch oven was in Flame orange, but I grabbed a Cerise version by mistake because I didn't know that the color of the box didn't indicate the color of the product. I didn't know how many colors they had! But since red is my favorite color I kept it, and all but one of the pieces I have bought since are also Cerise. The one exception is my collectable 90th Anniversary Cocotte, which of course is in the original Flame color introduced in 1925.

      It's handy for sauces, like marinara or enchilada or a little cheese sauce. And because we have a full house here it usually gets used for stuff like that. But when I'm able to cook smaller portions, maybe just for my husband and I, I've done oatmeal, steamed veggies, rice or quinoa, stuffed peppers, baked apples, and even a box of Kraft mac and cheese or quick packet of soup mix. Thank you so much! This particular light pink isn't easy to find so much anymore but there are a few other pink options out there. This shade is still my favorite though. Since the outlet stores near me in the US don't have many options, I've taken to looking on Amazon Japan.

    • @HelloLaurenYouTube
      @HelloLaurenYouTube  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used to find it at a Le Creuset outlet store but they haven't carried pink cookware in a long time. The baking dishes are a bit easier to find at TJ Maxx or Home Goods, but usually in the spring.

    I’d love to know what you cook in the heart ones! They seem so small to use

    • @HelloLaurenYouTube
      @HelloLaurenYouTube  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, since they're smaller they don't get quite as much use as the larger pots. I just have to plan for the smaller portions and not having as much or any leftovers for the next day. The red heart cocotte I use for things like rice, quinoa, steamed veggies, cheese sauce, oatmeal, pasta, a couple stuffed peppers, even easy boxed mac and cheese or soup mixes when I'm in the mood. :P The pink heart I usually use for desserts come to think of it. 'Skillet' cookies and brownies, apple crumble, s'mores dip.

      My family comes over quite often. I prefer to have enough cookware to cook large meals when needed. Do you use another term similar to Dutch oven to refer to the same kind of pot? The Le Creuset website uses that term (at least on their U.S. site) so it must vary depending on where you are.
