Hi, man. Thanks for the video. How did you get to the Fujinomiya station from Tokyo, could you please describe your route, the bus stations and so on? Thanks
Yoooo, the wooden sticks can be purchased from the 5th station, or if you hiking up fujinomiya, at the base station too. And all along, the huts that you collect the stamps too
Hello friends, firstly thank you for sharing your experience with this route. Do you know what the starting point of the Fujinomiya Route climb would be? How would you access it and what would be the arrival bus or train station? Thanks!
Hey there ! thanks for reaching out.Let me list down the mode of transport Shinagawa →Mishima Station via Shinkansen Mishima Station → Fujinomiya 5th station trail via FujiKyu City Bus This is the bus schedule that you’ll need ! www.fujikyucitybus.com/bustimetable/fujitozan.html
Hey there, the ascend took about 5-6 hours I think. It is steep when comparing to Yoshida Trail. But manageable I think ! The route I took was: Shinagawa →Mishima Station via Shinkansen Mishima Station → Fujinomiya 5th station trail via FujiKyu City Bus This is the bus schedule that you’ll need ! www.fujikyucitybus.com/bustimetable/fujitozan.html Hope this helps! Gooood luck
Ooof, water, snacks, a camera, gopro, tripod (which i end up not using LEL), some clothes and mostly was water weight that gets consumed as you hike up! Will likely make a video of the things I brought up on the hike
hi! is the fujinomiya trail relatively less crowded? planning to hike this August and would want to go on a route where it's not too congested so i could take my time without delaying other hikers. 🤔
Hey there, yes. Supposedly it is a less crowded route. However please be a little cautious this year, temperature here in Japan has been crazy. This in particular, when you hike down the summit 🤙🏼 have fun
Yoooo, glad you liked it. I hiked up with the A7III + 24-70GM2, a go pro on a necklace, and my iPhone 13 mounted to my hiking stick for all the shots ! Thanks for stopping by
Thanks for sharing ur experience. Am going in Aug and wld appreciate you cld advise how to travel from Shinjuku to Fujinomiya 5th station? Isit the same travel mode u have listed above? Isit advisable to take bus from Shinjuku Expressway Bus terminal to Fujinomiya 5th stn? Thks in advance
Hey there, similar to a comment in this video, I'll just write it again. Normally Shinjuku goes to Fuji 5th *Yoshida Trail, so be ware. some people recommend going down Gotemba trail after climbing other trails, because its the hardest to climb but easiest to descend. and if you have time/energy, some people stop by hoeizan while descending gotemba.
Now do it again in 2024, climb Gotemba trail and go down subashiri trail. the lesser number of huts/washrooms means you have to bring toilet packs and be careful about what you eat and water to bring. i'm doing it this july. and i just booked warazikan. i plan to do 1.5 days on mt fuji. including stopping by Hoeizan. i'll descend Subashiri trail to cover my july 5th 2019 failed hike. yoshida trail was under maintenance after the 8.5th station due to land/rockslide. and i had to fly back on the early morning of the 7th so i couldnt do anything else. i didnt booked a hut back then too and it rained the whole night. i'm doing leg training as i watch mt fuji videos.
@@kendidshoots another guy did mt fuji 9 times, but he is a japanese mountain youtuber. the hike up gotemba trail will be the hardest since its the longest and the ground is loose volcanic gravel . others say its like climbing a giant sand dune. which explains why google street view isnt on the ascent trail. its mainly on the descent trail
Nice vid! I hiked Fujinomiya last week, starting at midnight. I think it helped to not see how steep it was above me😂and the sunrise was glorious
Ayyyy congrats on conquering it !! Yeah it was breathtaking nonetheless 🤤

Yes! That’s exactly what I did !! At the crater you’ll have to walk over to the Yoshida trail side
