  • It's our first time trying Malaysian food! Today in Kuala Lumpur we are trying the staples of Malaysian Cuisine, for the very first time in our lives.
Kuala Lumpur has some of the best food in the world.
Today, we are exploring the Pavilion food court in one of Kuala Lumpur's most popular malls. We have to say that Malaysian food is literally some of the best we have ever had in terms of diverse flavours and depth of spice.
    Enjoy the video!!

Mee goreng mamak is a fried noodle with indian muslim influence. A proper mamak mee goreng will give that slice of calamansi or lime, and the top tier will include some friend dough or tofu in the noodles. Luke, you need to try the roadside nasi lemak buffet sold in the morning for breakfast, wrap in brown paper, banana leave or old news paper. That is more authentic.

Hi again guys, if you’re enjoying the more ‘commercialised’ Malaysian foods, wait till you get out to the night markets and hawker food stalls. It is cheaper and more tastier. As for the kueh with the white top, it should have been coconut flavoured with a touch of salt in it. Again, get away from the main city food scene. Thanks again for the video. Sean👍🏼

If you go to Nyonya Colors again, try the kuih kochi.
But frankly, there’s just way too much for you both to explore within 90 days. Befriend a local who loves travelling and knows local dishes well, and you’ll discover Malaysia in a way that’s beyond your expectations!
Go to the durian hubs, and taste the quality ones, for first timers, I’d recommend UDANG MERAH (for a sweeter note) and MUSANG KING (which has a slight bitter note). And if you don’t end up being durian fans, at least you’d have tried them lol😊

    Sir,maam.
Ur comments n views on the food are spot on,especially the heavan part,hahahahaha...
FYI,normally cucumber main task on our food are for relax the spicy and the oily or buttery taste in our mouth after every one or two spoon of it.And also used to make our breath smell better after meal.
Ahah, one more thing, food courts in big mall are very choosy to select thier vendors,so what u got there in the mall, normally as good as outside streetfood too,and im being serious.
Cos,to us Malaysian, food is next to breathing....so very very important...hahahhaa

Remember , rice is not a stand alone food, must be eaten together with meats or/and vegetables . Mixed them with the gravy or sambal in one spoon . Eating rice by itself is like eating spaghetti without sauce or gravy . I never see anyone who tastes their pasta alone first then slurping the gravy alone afterwards . Mixed everything on the plate eat it in a single scoop of spoon everytime. Each single item on plate is a complement to each other if eaten together.
