I keep my sidecar windscreen folded down and under the tonneau or just take it off when no passenger. Easier then modding the screen. Ural also offers a short sidecar screen now too. Enjoy the new rig hope you kept your old one. One is not enough!
I tried to order the short windshield but the dealer said I was lucky to get what I got. I’m going to try cutting it. I appreciate all the advice. Especially on orienting my iPhone properly for videos. What state are you located in?
Hey Mark, I followed you on your trip on your other Ural which was great! Looking forward to how it held up and ran. I have the 2018 gear up OD here in California and love it so far. Would love to see the modifications you do on your new one.
Joel Sadowsky Thanks Joel, starting to work this week so I can finish breaking it in. Maybe we’ll cross paths. I am interested in heading to death Valley and January?
I rode my 2013 Tourist to Canada last year with both a rider and passenger windshield. The only noticeable drag was on the sidecar windshield, as it sticks out to one side, like sticking your hand out a window on te freeway. So I removed the windshield from my sidecar on the gear up. That being said, I ran into a variety of bad weather and the rider windshield was worth its weight in gold. So when I plan on doing multi week rides over 1,000 miles, I will throw put windscreen on. You will not notice any decrease in speed or handling. If you wanna go fast, don't get a Ural. It requires a different mind set. I have 12 other two wheeled bikes, so I get my need for speed on my VFR. Thanks for the comments and ride safe
Cool vid mark!👍 glad you made it back

Love it, please keep doing it. Fonz.
wow good looking ride, do you think the factory windshield work good at 60 mph as far as not giving the head wobble or killing the speed?
