  • Indigenous children's book author/illustrator Joanne Robertson educates kids' through native culture to educate them on sustaining our environment for clean water ecosystems in the future. Joanne was a Water Walk planner behind the scenes for Nokomis Josephine Mandamin. Nokomis (Grandmother) Josephine walked for clean drinking water awareness in Indigenous communities across Canada. In a single walk, she put 4,500,000 steps in.

    This is great! I walked with the walkers as they passed through our lands of the Blackfeet Nation in 2009 (I think). The walk was a life changing experience for me. This was a nice find today.
