Same story for me, i listened to Hybrid, Meteora and Minutes to Midnight as a kid, then fell off the wagon. I didn’t like their new sound for a while but after Chester passed i listened to some of their new tracks and they made me emotional and have more value to me now. I was a fence sitter on Emily and From Zero. I was not really impressed but also not offended. Heavy Crown completely sold me on both Emily and the album. It brought me right back to Meteora which was my junior high school days. It’s like my comfort music to hear Mike rapping, Mr Hahn on the table, and Emily is as good of a successor to Chester as we can get.
I’m not sure if the hate has to do with them picking up a new vocalist. I think it’s more to do with Mikes handling of the situation with Chester’s son, and Emily’s past affiliation with Danny Masterson and the whole Scientology thing. Catchy tune they got here though.

I know they're great and great. But this should have been a video symbolizing last year's role game. But the video producers don't seem to have understood this.
