I have used Tibetan Lamb skins for my fabric art dolls. If you turn under the edge of the skin that will be on the dolls forehead you will get a much nicer edge. Then attach the skin to the wig cap you made. You can also get a better fit by piecing the skin into a cap shaped wig. Not difficult. Instructions come with the skins . Lots of sizes and colors available from Morezmore on eBay.
Hi Casie! I would love to see videos on how to tea stain and how to customize/color blythe eyelids (what paints are good to use, applying protective seal, etc.) Thanks so much for your videos! They are super helpful and I always look forward to them.
I use acrylic paint and it works great for the eyelids!! You can also use pastels but I know how to blend paint super good so it works for me. I also just use a normal matte sealer to deal everything
I apologize for the sound in this video. I didn't have my normal microphone and was trying to talk quietly because my son was sick and sleeping. I know it's not great. :(
Hi girl, I'm a new, but big fan of your vids. I just had a question about the mohair wigs. I've heared they're made of the hair of a goat, or alpaca? I think they're gorgeous but what I really don't want, is that animals have to suffer. Have you any idea about the stories behind the wigs? Love, Anne
Hi Anne...I do not buy mohair anymore that I can't verify that (this particular video I cannot because I don't remember who I bought it from probably 8 years ago). However you can find a lot of sellers on Etsy now that just sell the locks for rerooting and they can tell you all about their animals. That's the way I prefer to use mohair now. ;)
Ok so I had a question. You sell 4 packs of blythe eye chips for $18. Can I have you customize them and it still be a 4 pack for $18 or will it be more?? I just wanted to know because I am doing my first blythe repaint and I would like the eye chips to be ombre and two tone pastels. Hope you see this and answer soon!! :3 ♡•♡
Hi there! The sale 4 packs are made up of slightly imperfect chips, or chips I'm phasing out of my shop, which is why they are on sale. They are sold as-is when I have them. So unfortunately they can't be customized. Thanks for the comment though and good luck on your first Blythe!
as far as putting on the body- I don't understand why you leave it so floppy The tilting neck piece is pretty useless because of the size of the head and could pop out.
Love the mohair! I'm just getting into Blythe dolls and catching up on your videos. You're so talented.
