Top job. I had the same error code on (zafira 1.7cdti 2014).. thanks. Used my LAUNCH CRP129X to check DPF saturation(was 112%). Wife has been doing only local runs. So used scan tool to do a Regen which took it down to 39% saturation. Took the car for a run and then it was fine after clearing the codes.. As a precaution i will change glow plugs just in case… not changed for 70,000 KLMs.. its time..
I have had similar issues with the launch scan too and I use the snap on where possible now, Also I had a similar fault with a Mazda 5, saying the DPF had soot content was high and it turned out to be a faulty egr valve. Thanks sandy this is definitely one to remember.
Couple of things, the code suffix changes on the two scans, the p0380-02 would indicate plug2. The module may monitor the current draw which may change as the plug heats. A cold resistance check may not show a plug on its way out. The glow plug module is controlled by the ecu accounting for the engine temp which showed erratic perhaps?. On vauxhalls the EML does not illuminate for a glow plug fault but may show 'service vehicle soon' . The dpf has not regen'd due to the presence of the glow plug fault. The fault code would only clear KOER as the plugs were inactive. May be a case of the dpf is the symptom and not the cure
Cheers Dave thanks for information I think different code appeared because module was unplugged but we will wait and see if motor comes back cheers sandy
Bang on. The older Vauxhalls used the glow plug light flashing as a DPF oversaturation warning for the customer. 120% plus soot loading if i remember. I also found glow plug failure far more common than the control module, probably only changed a few over the years.
I know the solution is DPF regeneration, just wasted my money on other glow plugs. 'Autodata' specified that glow plug indicator is open when dpf regeneration is required, must be some sort of safety feature. The problem is my OPCOM tester doesn t give me the option to DPF regenerate. Could you give me an advice? Is there a way to force dpf regenerate ?
interesting sandy the launch is a bit glitchy do not have one i just use Autel and brainbee . you would imagine if it was a glow plug fault that it would not allow a regen
Launch cannot handle more than 4 PIDS, I have it on good authority that flashing glow plug light on Vauxhall is telling u that it needs Regen so keep driving cheers sandy
I am hungraian, guess, what I can understand he says: not much, however I have learnt english for 4 years and have exam as well. I have plugged the earphones into my ears and listened 4-5 times continously this video. It is hard to understand me, however he tell many helpful informations. :-D

Thanks Matt, I think I prefer snap on and autel now cheers sandy
Great video.
I had the same problem and this video helped me so much.
Really appreciated.
Just wondering if this would be the same on my Corsa d 1.7 cdti spanner light on when cold low voltage on glow plug 3 all glow plugs changed?

Enjoyed The Diagnostics Sandy very strange Fault ,,,

.
Cheers Ian
Great video diag so what brought you to the conclusion of trying a DPF regeneration to solve the glow plug code and thanks again for your time .
When I saw the dpf load PID cheers sandy
Ihave astra h 1.7cdti dpf egr off this light start blinking and the engine shut off and can start what isthe problem
Just spray some W-5 on top of the glow plugs, keep it for a day or two, unscrew the old plugs and replace with the new after! Done! Hassle free job...
Hi would anyone know what to check for this code i have P0380-06 glow device circuit low voltage , its present and the car spanner light is on?

Take car for drive on motorway for 30 mins speed above 40 mph
i had one like this it ended up being a dpf fault thats what the flashing glow plug light means i believe sandy
Cheers Marty, Sandy
For me I only deleted the codes and everything was again normal
Hi had same thing with a car last week did a regen but in end I had to tell car it had a new dpf and a new dpf pressure vacuum
Thanks bro your video is helpful
