You forgot to add that Siegfried have 32,760 Hp and is weak to all elemental attacks. Because of this Mog can also be used in a dragoon setup with Holly Lance to deal massive damage to him (each jump will do 7000+ damage and each Holly cast will do 9999 damage). Another option for him is to use Locke with Lightbringer + Ultima Weapom.
If you want to win stuff in the arena use the imp set with ribbon and memento ring. iirc all attacks will do 1 damage to you and you'll be immune to status/death.
I prefer Shadow or Setzer without learning any spells on them, which is completely possible for them by the end of World of Balance. The CPU AI won’t use Throw or Slot, so with no spells, they’ll only use physical attacks. Conveniently both characters have instant kill weapons, so they have all the makings to be great Coliseum picks.
Use Locke without magic instead if it's the Pixel remaster. The changes buffed Atama Weapon. Locke can do 9999x4 in the back row. Or 9999x4+5kishx4 with the Genji glove and Lightbringer.
Damn, Siegfried gives you WAY more of a chance in this version of the game than he does in the original. Almost every time I tried fighting him in the original version, he used Hyperdrive on the very first turn. Every once in a great while, he’d do something else, then he’d use Hyperdrive on his second turn.
Umaro is God king of colloseum. He either does defense ignoring damage for 9999, or will smack for 4x hits of 6k plus with berserker ring and master scroll. No wasted magic turns, nor useless abilities trigger. All pain all the time.
You just need to level shadow without learning any spells. When you get him back in the world of ruin, take him to the dinosaur forest and level him with the best magecite right up until hes about to learn the spell then switch it out.
Sabin is not a great option for the coliseum. One of his moves kills himself. So the enemy can kill him and so can Sabin. I forget the exact trick, but i use Gogo. You can give him three of the same command.
@@mindlessmeat4055 me personally, I’ve actually had excellent luck with Sabin in the Coliseum. Build his strength with magicite, but without learning any spells, equip him with the Genji Glove and Offering relics, then equip him with 2 weapons of your choice, which ones you choose will be different depending on the enemy you’re fighting. Most of the time, I can murder just about anything in the Coliseum with Sabin.
@CranberryFo I fully respect this. I've done it on countless games myself. It's just extra nice when there's a nice reward too! *Cries in FFVIII Omega Weapon*
@@vaporsnake7 Agreed! Given how formidable this guy can be, he'd definitely merit a better reward. Hmmm. Merit. Award. Merit Award! The Merit Award would be a rather interesting award to get from him. It's already a somewhat complicated relilc to get. It would have been a fine prize for beating Sigfried.
dude... no. w-magic. weak plus any spell... use speed boots to go first. Another choice is that all his attacks are physical. You can use perfect dodge mechanic. Not a hard one. try beating the sneezer in colleseum. it's funny. 😊
EVEN at lv 99 Hyper drive can still do 9999 damage so you better hope you do 4 to 8x 9999 hits BEFORE that happens even WITh EVERY spell learnt but Cyan/Umaro even at lv 99 still SUCK. SABIN at lv 43+ CAN KILL HIMSELF with the Soul Spiral Blitz and his AI IS dumb enough TO use it.
@@bayareayackem100 you are not in control of your characters in the coliseum. So you have no way to make the character cast Life 3. Honestly, one of the best ways to go about this is to set aside a character that doesn't know any magic, so as to limit the number of wasted turns that they use. Or use only powerful magic like Ultima or Life 3, but know no other magic.
I did this back in 1996! No guide needed! Also used to farm ribbons so i had a full set for the final tower!

The Tintinbulum is one hell of a great relic!!! Only one MP for every spell and summon????
totally worth waging a mega elixir for that !!!

I liked when he used Esuna.
Yes it was integral to the victory

Adding to this, you can build Gogo to 100% physical evade and 60% magic evade, while still keeping many of his commands available.

Wait, what does this do?
The reward is not even worth it 😢
It's more for completionists that insist on having Siegfried's beastiary entry.
