    Thanks for the demo, really liked the idea of this device, but having seen the demo it’s too noisy to use when I leave early in the morning. My neighbors would not be impressed 🤪 But while it works, it’s less effective than I hoped it would be. I’ll give it a miss for now.

    I see a few problems. It covers such a small area at a time and seems like it would take ages to use. Shorter people (like me) may have a hard time reaching the middle of the windshield. It seems like it’s quite loud and neighbors might not appreciate waking up to that sound early in the morning.

      Thanks for your comment, I found it a lot quicker than a handheld ice scraper, probably did windows in a quarter or 5th of the time and with a lot less effort than with a conventional handheld ice scraper,
      if you would struggle to reach the Center of your window with a handheld scraper then you would still struggle to reach with this,
      as for noise the microphone picks up the noise more than you would hear naturally so it sounds louder in the video than it would if you were walking past

    Looks like the plastic blades would break especially in frigid cold on a thick coating of ice. It appears as though you can only push down on it so hard and then the blades would stop turning. I believe that’s why the area cleared was so small, you can’t push it. It is what it is. Too bad it’s not a little bit more rugged.

      That morning the ice on those windows was as hard as I have ever had, temperature was -11 degrees over night,so I thought it would be a good test for the video, I have used it all last season and so far this season which to be fair has been pretty mild so far and the blades still look like new

    I love a gadget but this seems to scrape quite a small area at a time,plus its not exactly get in and go, i except there's a very minimal time saving which is the big factor when in a rush to do the school run. when experiencing icey conditions I spray a pre icer the night before, prevents ice from forming. one swipe of the wipers and your on your way. a quick squeegee clears the pre icer from the side windows. Great demonstration though 👍

      @@RichManPoorTech haha fair enough. a glass coating works for many, such as anglewax h2go, lasts for months and aswell as sending rain flying off your windscreen meaning you don't use your wipers as much, it's also very good at stopping ice from forming on your glass. however I experienced wiper judder so now only use on my side and rear windows

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      sorry for the late reply but it was an important question, Although i would never describe myself as a environmentalist, i am aware that All our lives have an environmental impact to wether we have children, drink wine, go on holiday, watch tv, drink milk etc and this cant be avoided, we have to make choices, and weigh up the impact on our lives and future generations
      Im actually looking at it through two different angles, the impact of aerosol manufacture including waste, the fact that the old propellants effected the ozone, we believe that the new ones don't, but what other effect they might have may not even be know yet, also the emission into the air, as my farther died from breathing in break dust years ago causing mesothelioma a type of lung cancer, i am concerned with air quality, the amount of lithium batteries used in mobile phones, power tools and now in greater amount in cars is something that is only going to get worse until solid state batteries become more reliable and mainstream, and in balance the environmental impact of using the car im sure, out ways the impact of both the lithium battery and the isopropanol but is somewhat offset by my planted orchard,
      I had a Umwelt Diesel golf in 1992 which was believed to be one of the most environmental cars when it was launched, and diesel can also be grown. and i have had alternative Liquid gas powered car afterwards, and i bought a electric zoe for my mother, but as we more forward as a society it is important to address and improve technology, and not revert to the past, otherwise we would be using steam trains and lighting coal fires.
