The first European explorers arrived in the Karakoram Mountains back in the 1830s
The Muztagh Pass is mountain Pass across the Baltoro Muztagh range in the Karakorams.
The route across the Muztagh Pass is the shortest route from Yarkand to Skardu.
By the 18th century, the East (old) Muztagh Pass had been blocked because of advancing ice. So, the west Muztagh had been used
it lies to the north of the long Baltoro glacier, and very near Mount Godwin Austen / K2 / Chogori (28,250 feet).
5. It was crossed by a European, Colonel Younghusband, who in 1887 came from Peking across the Gobi Desert to Yarkand
It was a moment of great achievement for us, as after Eric Shipton’s exploration of Muztagh and Sarpo Laggo Passes in 1937, we were the first, and till now the only Pakistani team to summit the pass.
It was a fascinating moment for us once again, as we had achieved another goal and set a record of being a first Pakistani team to achieve some historic and key passes of Karakoram range; both the Muztagh and Sarpo Laggo Passes.

Yes I am trying to show history of Karakoram through my videos which was never been showed by any Pakistani, PTDC or by Alpine Club of Pakistan.
I faced troubles many times when I planned to cross technical passed I had any information of campsites, pictures and videos.
Then I planned that ill share every nitty-gritty to help future trekkers.
This is how I took initiative of TH-cam channel.

Remarkable achievement. Been following you for a while. You have covered so much detail in this video along with historical background which very few people know, not many spend time in the research. Not to mention the financial costs of such expeditions. Doing this for pure adventure without any sponsors is commendable!
Thanks Sharjeel, Pakistan is richest in this wild beauty but unfortunately we couldn’t explore and we couldn’t show the world yes foreigners came they made videos they wrote books but for their own commercial gains.
