I remember until 0:46 I always thought this was so beautiful, but could never listen to the part afterwards while in the menu. It was so sad and always reminded me of how badly things had turned out in the story with not only Joe, but with every character involved in the game.

I completed this game 12 times. I play it bout every 6 months. It's my favorite game ever. Something just drags me in, connects me with characters, music, story, gameplay, it's magical. And this menu theme, man, oh man, it hits me hard, all those feelings and nostalgia. I can see myself being 80 years old and playing this game, and before that just chillin in main menu listening to this theme over and over again thinkin bout my life. That feeling makes me safe.
yes, man, actually it's also the same with mafia 1 for me, just didn't mention it cuz it's bout mafia 2 here but i completed it a few times at least, it was a game ahead of its time, even when i was playing it few years ago i was still impressed how advanced the game was, it is really the same story with both mafia games for me, and now i can't wait to play the third one, i hope it is in the same range with last two :)

It's a really great game..even by today's standards. The physics is just amazing The wheel cup actually detaches and spin off if u hit a curb fast. Damage models. NPC activities..certain npcs slip and fall while in snow.. just amazing details
The cops in this game is better than the ones in grand theft auto v. They won't go guns blazing when you touch their car and will fine you when one commit a small crime like small accidents or speeding.
and dont forget the cops also had different levels. its either be fined, be arrested or shot on sight with a snub nose 38 revolver or the tommy gun and in GTA 5 you change the color of the car youre fine. in Mafia 2 change the liscence plate or change your clothes. and if you get caught speeding pay a fine. or crash into something pay a fine. its so realistic.

Believe me.or not but this game gave me best time of my life. It chamged my music taste and thanks to this i met best friend i ever had. On YT. In the comment section. N. changed my way of thinking, feeling and gave me opportunity to chamge myself. I was alone back then and after i knew who am i. When i started new school i was different person and met love of my life. Amazing school, job and everything in that time. I was dofferent person. You know everything fucked up few years later, depression came back again and life sucks... I dont have lost all of this wonderful people... But i am still living this few years that this game gave me. Now i know than even if i die i know what it feels like to be happy.
When you listen to that piano in the beginning,you get a feeling of the life that was then. Btw I think it was way more beautifull than what broke money instead of brain people we have now.

N. changed my way of thinking, feeling and gave me opportunity to chamge myself. I was alone back then and after i knew who am i. When i started new school i was different person and met love of my life. Amazing school, job and everything in that time. I was dofferent person. You know everything fucked up few years later, depression came back again and life sucks... I dont have lost all of this wonderful people... But i am still living this few years that this game gave me. Now i know than even if i die i know what it feels like to be happy.

No day will pass when I don't think how good my life was when i was playing this game. The aroma , the memories are all attached to this game. This is not a game this is a bond between me and my big brother and my childhood.

This and the pause theme music are two of most beautiful sounds of music I've heard in the longest time. I remember having both of these up and just slowly listening and thinking. The fact I loved this game as well helped but god the music, perfection.
I played this when I was alone and thought I didn't have a future I was caught up in some things and it made my life bad but I was able to play this game and it helped me so much I will always have a special place in my heart for this game.
When I feel very tired and empty, I come here every year to listen to this masterpiece.
