What a beautiful world you’ve made for yourself. I respect your commitment to this technology and these techniques.
Yes mate spot on!!
wow good on ya buddy.......amazing stuff....would love to hear those sines and squares through a modular system incorporating bitcrushing and granular synthesis
A. Loving your name. Hard as concrete, hahaha and B. Yes, all your equipment is required and I recommend that you get more stuff because that's bloody amazing. Oh and I've donated you a few jars of coffee. Enjoy. 👍
Thank you for that! Very grateful and please be assured I'll spend it on weird old gear for the channel :)
This is excellent
Cheers!!
i wanted this to be an extended cut of the classic "it makes the sound of a fart" tour vid
A classic Canadian joke.
As someone who has worked in a giant electronic calibration lab for the last 30+ years i not only remember a lot of this gear but we still have a lot of it stored away in case we need it in the future. Great video thanks.
12:17 woehaaa
Crackin fart, lad!
Enjoyed this video 🙂
Really enjoyed this, it's so cool seeing & hearing all of these interesting and unique bits of hardware and learning about them. Thanks for showing us your incredible creative space, it's so visually appealing. Great stuff dude.
Glad you enjoyed it!

21:33 = scary

What about @28:06
@HarderThanConcrete highlight
100 is the best one 11:17
It might be the way your microphone is setup., But I'm only getting audio in my left ear
@@scottofengland eeep! That's definitely a video editing error on my part.
@@scottofengland Weird- I can hear it both sides with headphones
same
Great video tour, thank you sharing! I’m interested in hearing more about why you honed in on the Tandberg Model 15 reel to reel machines. I have a few different models but have never stumbled across this before. I have an Akai 4000DS but it’s not the most reliable and I wonder what you find good about these Tandberg machines for what you do?
You know what- that's a good idea for a quick video. Thanks for the tip btw!
@HarderThanConcrete Well, I managed to source myself a Tandberg Series 15 (4 track version) and now I see why you like them so much! They are so well built, amazing quality, and I've only listened through the built in speaker so far but I'm blown away by the sound quality (recording and playback). I need to do some work on it to clean off some of the old lubrication and then apply new grease as it's a bit gummed up. In particular there is an issue where the record lever doesn't stay down, which is a weird. Have you come across that issue before?
@@JamesPearson @JamesPearson fantastic news! Are you able to send a quick video of the issue via insta? I think I know the problem you're referring to but more easily diagnosed if you can show me the problem
why won't you get on the GROUND the disgusting ground eyahhhh baby
Great video, thanks for the informative
Next time!
Why don’t you just use a daw? You’d only need a laptop… Only joking. What an incredible rig! Really enjoyable vid. Delia D and Simeon Coxe look down and smile.
Damn right! There's no real advantage to this method unless you're a sadomasochist. I do most of my audio work in the box and used to really really hate hardware of any kind ha!
@ Nooo!! It was a terrible terrible joke!!! Keep doing what you’re doing my friend.
@johnrobinson5672 Don't worry- I'll still always have time for tape too
28:07 😝
Do you have a listening corner and Rietveld chair?
@@MrBiz5 Almost. I'd love a Rietveld chair but instead I've got a not very stylish corner unit. I have all my pretentious records downstairs and I listen to them while I eat my porridge.
