Hi James, sorry I hesitated to subscribe, although I've watched you for a while. (don't worry, it's done now!). I just wanted to say I appreciate you being one of the few reviewers who kind of covers all price ranges. I find that a lot of people move to Montblancs or Pilot 823s and then never get back down to the budget range of pens (I do envy their budget though). Thanks James, and have a blessed day.
I bought the same color several weeks ago and I love the pen.
Gorgeous pen, lovely ink, splendid review. Thank you, James!
Many thanks!
I have had a number of Delta pens before they disappeared some years ago, only to reappear. This is a beautiful pen at an affordable price for an Italian pen. I was worried that the company was going to rehash models previously made like the Dolce Vita but this is quite nice. It is something I can add to my "to get" list.
Nice first impressions, James
I was glad to see this one come along. Hopefully, it will be the first of many like it.
The Filomarino blue is a lovely color. I purchased one several weeks ago with the flex nib, and it is a smooth writer. I was also impressed by the price. Thank you for your video presentation. Take care.
How do you like the flex nib?
Pen is beautiful no doubt about it also, I think fair priced.
Looks nice, and not as expensive as exotic pens. Need to remember this one.
Hope all is well with you.
Is this similar in size to the Leonardo Momento Magico? I love that pen. Subscribed, love your review style
It should be similar in diameter and just a bit shorter in length.
Hi James, I have to say I'm already fed up of having Jowo nibs everywhere. Pen makers should seriously consider selling pens without nibs so we can stick whatever nib we like (Narwhal in my case) in them and get a beautiful pen like this at a better price, maybe 30 USD less? Sell me a modern Esterbrook without nib but with the adapter for vintage nibs and I'll be happy as hell 😀
Sr. Salazar has a point, although I have found my Jowo nibs to perform consistently well. There are pen companies in India which do just as he asks. I think I am right to say that Ranga is one of them. However, when they do this, it requires ordering a pen with the section bored to receive the nib and collar of the desired brand. I don't know what sort of adjustments would be necessary to accommodate feeds and nibs one has on hand already.
I definitely would have liked and in-house nib. I like the idea offering nibless pens for customization even better. 👍🏼
Hi James! The Visconti Mirage mythos line is also an affordable, steel nib, Italian fountain pen. Compared to the Visconti, would you say that the nibs are comparable? Different? They're both #6 steel nibs. Thank you in advance!
I find them to both be generous, smooth writers. I think the grip is more comfortable on the Delta.
Thank you for making the video. It is one of my choices being the other one is Leonardo MZ Blue Hawaii. The Leonardo is 50Usd more than the Delta here locally. Is the Leonardo better in terms of overall balance and writing experience? Should I get the Delta or go with the Leonardo. Both with same M steel nibs by JOWO. Any comments and suggestions from the viewers are greatly appreciated. I can only afford one. Thanks for the video James!
Ooh. Tough one. If you’re on the fence about the grip of the MZ (I really like it, some don’t) I’d go for the Delta. If the MZ design really appeals, I’d probably give it the edge. I wouldn’t think I’d gone wrong with either.
@@JG3ReviewsHi James, if the difference is only on the design, I will go with the Delta. I like the cap and barrel design reminiscent of the Dolce Vita 2023 midsize and the placing of the "yellow" trim ring is brilliant.😊 The color I chose same as yours. Thanks James for the reply.
Do you keep the presentation boxes?
If I think it might be worth keeping for the future, like a trade or sell situation.
