🎹Wow, THAT was REALLY IMPRESSIVE what you just did playing with that Alicia Keys song🥰🎉🎉🎉. So you were just IMPROVISING? (You never learned the sheet music for this song?); Also when you play ALONG with a Song (like you justr did) - Do you have to be playing the EXACT same Key that the singer on the radio is playing…..or Does it matter?
Hey man. New to piano. Isn't the the 5th progression supposed to be Major instead of Dominant? Is it different b/c you are doing 7th chords instead of 5th chords?

It doesn't matter, the most important thing is that it sounds good to you! It's good exercise to learn the sheet music from the song, and also start exploring what you can come up with through the chords and using your ear! I've done both approaches when learning music, reading the music and completely by ear. Hope this helps!
…..and you said: “There’s No Right or Wrong Way to Explore MUSIC……Because it’s an ART FORM”🎹. I like that!
🎹Excellent Lesson! Thanks John! * I want to learn 7th Chords🥰
