Oh, this video came up as "suggested" as I haven't watch it before until now. I spotted myself in the background of the knife drills at 04:34 and in the group photo at 02:26 of the Core Mastery Camp; it was a very enjoyable experience indeed. Big thanks to the Systema HQ team in Toronto and best wishes to the guys and girls I met there, hope you're all well. Carlos - Instructor from Brisbane, Australia.

I HATE THIS attitude that you can en see again and again #Systema , but more recurrently in this Vladimir #Vasiliev th-cam.com/video/59Rjj6YKy1U/w-d-xo.html
      Disclaimer:
i REALLY LIKE spare ¡¡¡concepts of SYSTEMA and BALLISTIC punching, but i when i see the PURE NEGATIVE; psicological MINDSET of this guys, it grow a entire rejection.
They all look like if the has been abusing of their superior position in Russian Army, a get used to abuse their sparring wich of course always been selectf from inferior rank
Somebody could tell m?E, where ist the point to of in (apparently) a disrespectfull manner, perfom a drill or a attack over your sparring when apparently the sparring looks like if the exercise was over at this moment....
Or he is approarching to youy like to give to knife or something like this ? in the sense of thinking that drill has become to end?
And then, justo in this momento, when you sparring o collaborator, are not expentic a shit.. t then throw they few blows.. in order to "prove", how effective this
knife to your partner / sparring / voluntary collaborating with you in the exhibition..
The problem may be not so clear in this one, but its a constant not only in this particular instructor Vladimir Vasiliev, but apparently in other ones of this SYSTEMA

Does he ever teach in America? I have never seen a Systema video were any actual sparring is taking place. Are there any videos of these techniques being practiced at a least 50% speed by BOTH subjects???????

There are life sparring, but since the system does not use bags or gloves, or pads, in order to feel what hitting someone/and getting hit feels like, we slow things down to prevent injuries.. Did you see the knee kicks in the beginning,, you cannot practice those in sparring friend. Sparring usually enforces rules, and Systema is not so much competition but fighting.

Gabriel Nunez The purpose for sparring is to practice your techniques at near real life speed so 1: you know those techniques work at at those speeds, 2: you practice your techniques for whatever discipline at that speed. Besides using those techniques is a real situation, how else do you know that they work? If you only practice at slow speeds your setting yourself up for failure.

If your sparring correctly, it is the closet thing you can get to a real fight. Why would you not want to test & practice your disipline this way?? I want to see just one of the systema founders practicing against someone who is going actively resisting against them & not just crumbling once the first technique is landed

Full speed sparring was once described by my previous instructor as a "checkpoint" for advanced practitioners - it's useful for knowing where you're at. And it's done, from time to time. "Slow speeds" is a bit relative... How slow is slow for you? But practically speaking, you can't really do a whole lot full contact, full power systema "sparring". The punches alone can be really devastating. It's definitely not a sport.
Go to a class! It can be a very rewarding experience.

Webe Chillin a lot of it looks like that everything in slow motion but what you have to realize is the slow motion hurts like hell when your in sparring because of how you hit and where u hit going full speed without pads be devasting to most people.Like the hammer fist demo was did on me with a tap to the chest whole when numb and surged down my back. The amazing thing about the hit to chest was not very hard felt sorenes from it for a couple of days.
