The course was incredibly fun. Some of it is so rugged. Really cool part of the world to ride a bike! eMTB is definitely a treat for those steep climbs though.
Aside from a flexy wheel that ended up falling apart, I couldn't have really asked for a better bike for the event. Nice middle ground of stability/agility, plenty of comfort and traction yet adequate support. Working on a full review for the Cube, so stay tuned! Was very refreshing to race it in the dry, those tracks are crazy fun.
@@TheLoamWolf look forward to that, they are excellent value in the UK, i’m hung between Cannondal Motera SL and this, removable battery on the One55 could make it a winner, it’s an immensely good course, not done it on an ebike yet so maybe next year, cheers!
Cube is definitely a bigger feeling bike than the Moterra, but packs extra range plus the removable battery for the biggest days is pretty sweet. Also consider the Merida E-One Sixty in this kind of space. Carbon model can be boosted with a range extender. Though it's a longer travel and slightly more aggressive feeling bike overall.
@@TheLoamWolfI dont see any of the ep801- 750 batteries making it that far or that much elevation. The Bosch must be far ahead of the ep801 batteries that are the same sixe?
We were being quite careful to conserve the battery, mainly using Tour+ with ECO on flat sections and Turbo for the downhills (which were spent 99% above the motor cut-out speed). Anecdotally there may be ever so slightly better range from the Bosch system, but it's very difficult to test them to be sure. We're working on figuring out how to test this in the most reliable manner possible.
@@TheLoamWolf please test the ep801 using the same battery size but different manufacturea. Shimano, Darfon and YT's battery for the ep801. My friends have the new 2024 YT Decoy with 720 battery and theyre getting significantly better range than me on my 2024 Heckler that has a 720 battery as well. We all weight within 10# of each other(180-190#). So a range test of the different ep801 batteries is needed to make a list of the worst and best ep801 batteries.
Thanks for sharing and it's a topic we've talked and brainstormed about AT LENGTH! We're trying to decide how scientific it needs to be, or if Bro Science is enough, as the number of variables becomes astronomical, quite quickly... Are you and your friends running similar air pressure and compound in tires? Rolling resistance as well as pedaling efficiency of the bike's suspension platform can also create a difference beyond the rider weight and cadence, and torque delivered by the rider.
This is rapidly becoming my favourite mtb channel on YT. Brilliant stuff. Love the variation in the content
Thank you Connor, it means a lot! 🤘🏼
Loved this. hope to see more of this type of content
Thank you! Will do!
Reeth, Fremington Edge and the surrounding moors are awesome for eMTB, some of that looks totally insane though.

Hi , how tall are you and what size ONE55 was you riding pls? I’m just short of 6,2 . Thank you
6’2” on a large. Was very comfortable with the higher bar, but I have a short torso and preference for slightly shorter reach on an eBike typically.
@@TheLoamWolf thank you very much
How did you find the One55 at Ard Rock? Hardly any reviews on these, nice job on the race, nice to see it dry!!

Battery size and elevation after the 7 stages?
750Wh, 100kg (220lbs) rider, 1500m and 45km route
